Stephen MacAulay had a hand in all three goals for Saint John in its 3-2 overtime win over Halifax on Friday night.

MacAulay, who had a goal and two assists, was taken in the sixth round by the Blues in the 2010 draft and has never had a breakout campaign until now. His 18 goals are a career high, and he just topped his career high in points with 36, all done in 34 games.

Stephen MacAulay was returned to this junior club in Saint John on Wednesday after attending training camp for the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Etienne Boutet, Antoine Corbin, Kevin Gagne were also sent back to their respective junior squads after failing to secure themselves roster spots on tryout deals. MacAulay has produced two goals and two assists in three QMJHL appearances already this season. He was a sixth-round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2010, but he wasn't retained by the team this past summer.

MacAulay, 20, was taken in the sixth round of the 2010 draft by the Blues. With only 35 points last season, he certainly didn't overwhelm the QMJHL, but he has four points already in three games this season.
