Edmundson took part in another full practice and he could be available for the game against Winnipeg. He's missed the previous 11 games because of an upper-body injury. We'll provide an update on his status if he gets back into the lineup.

"He was full practice today, took full contact yesterday, took full contact today, so he's taking those steps that we want him to take," coach Ken Hitchcock said Tuesday. "I think he's ready to be evaluated for a game-day player." Edmundson has absent for the last 10 games because of an upper-body injury.

"The seven D we have, I thought we all had good camps," Edmundson said. "The coaches are going to put the lineup out there that they think will win the game. Fortunately, I'm in there tonight, so I'm looking forward to it." He skated in 67 games with the Blues last season.

The Chicago Blackhawks outshot the Blues 38-18 en route to a 4-0 shutout Saturday night, but ultimately it was frustration that sidelined St Louis.

A loss of composure ultimately sidelined the Blues as they drew seven penalties in the third period—mostly for acts of aggression. In that period, Ryan Reaves, Patrik Berglund, Kyle Brodziak, and Joel Edmundson were penalized for roughing. Berglund drew another penalty for slashing, and Edmundson was sidelined for misconduct.
