Reid Boucher has avoided his arbitration hearing by signing a one-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
Boucher's new deal is worth $687,500, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. He generated five goals and two assists in 27 games with the Canucks after he was claimed off waivers from New Jersey. He also played briefly for the Nashville Predators in 2016-17. The Vancouver Canucks have claimed Reid Boucher off waivers from New Jersey.

Boucher has moved around a lot in the last month. New Jersey placed him on waivers on Dec. 3 and he was claimed by Nashville. However, the Predators put him on waivers and the Devils consequently reclaimed him on Monday. That led to the Devils trying to waive him again in an attempt to send him to the minors, but this time Vancouver has taken him. He has a goal and three points in 12 contests this season.
