Coach John Hynes is starting to use Reid Boucher in all situations.

Boucher is known for his offensive prowess but Hynes is now using him in the final minute of play with a lead, alongside linemates Travis Zajac and Kyle Palmieri. "I thought throughout the game he played hard," Hynes said. "We talked about trying to play harder after the second period. He was one of those guys that had a very good third period. He blocked some shots. … So, he deserved the opportunity to be out there and he did a nice job when he was in there at the end." Boucher has five goals and 12 points in 26 games this season and expect more production down the stretch and into next season for the 22-year-old.

Reid Boucher scored his fifth goal of the season in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Boucher now has 10 points this season, five of which have come in his past five games. The 22-year-old is no guarantee, but 10 points in 20 games so far is a solid stat line, especially if you include his point-per-game pace he set in the AHL this season.

Reid Boucher will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday night against the Coyotes.

The 22-year-old forward has thus far failed to make an impact on the score sheet and Coach Hynes, which may soon start to become a problem. Despite scoring 62 goals in 68 games for OHL Sarnia in 2012, he's only managed 40 goals for AHL Albany in 129 games since.

Reid Boucher has been summoned by the New Jersey Devils.

As expected, Boucher's assignment was a short one. The Devils needed to free a roster spot for goaltender Yann Danis. The Devils needed an extra goalie because Cory Schneider's wife gave birth Tuesday morning and he was consequently scratched for that night's game. Now that Schneider is presumably available again, the Devils can reverse their recent changes.

Reid Boucher has been sent to the minors.

This might prove to be a very temporary assignment as the Devils just need a third goaltender for Tuesday's contest given that Cory Schneider's wife gave birth early this morning. Boucher made his season debut on Friday, but was scratched on Saturday.

It's not known when Boucher will be able to get back on the ice, but the fact that he's already working out is obviously encouraging. He was hurt during a prospects game on Saturday.
