Reid Boucher (concussion) has resumed off-ice workouts.
It's not known when Boucher will be able to get back on the ice, but the fact that he's already working out is obviously encouraging. He was hurt during a prospects game on Saturday. Sep 19 - 10:16 AM

Reid Boucher (concussion) has been making progress.

Boucher was hurt during a prospects game on Saturday. There's some hope that this will prove to be a relatively short-term setback.
Sep 17 - 1:58 PM

Reid Boucher is battling a concussion and won't be available for the start of the Devils' training camp as a result.

Boucher sustained the injury during Saturday's prospects game. Concussions don't typically conform to timetables, so unsurprisingly there is none for Boucher. He had 15 goals and 30 points in 62 AHL contests and another goal in 11 games with the New Jersey Devils last season.
Sep 16 - 10:53 AM

The New Jersey Devils have assigned Reid Boucher to the AHL.

The 21-year-old had just one goal and a minus-4 rating in 11 NHL games this season. Boucher was the Devils' fourth round pick in 2011.
Apr 12 - 2:45 PM

Reid Boucher will play in the Devils' season finale against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Through 10 games this season, the 22 year old Boucher has posted a goal and eight hits. He's scored 35 goals with AHL Albany the last two seasons, but it hasn't seemed to transfer to the National just yet. Boucher will skate to the right of Tuomo Ruutu and Jacob Josefson on the fourth line.
Apr 11 - 5:56 PM

Reid Boucher, Michael Ryder and Martin Havlat are all healthy scratches for Thursday's game against Tampa Bay.

Ryder has played in just five games since January 28th, while Havlat has played in just four games since February 13th. It's safe to say that the Devils were expecting more from those two veterans. Boucher, 21, is still young and he will probably get more playing time as he gets older.
Apr 9 - 7:26 PM

Reid Boucher, Martin Havlat, and Michael Ryder will each be scratched from Tuesday's tilt with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

While Havlat and Ryder have produced just 11 goals and 33 points through 87 combined games this season, Boucher resembles of a bit of hope moving forward. Bocher has amassed 35 goals and 66 points over 134 games with AHL Albany since the beginning of last season.

Reid Boucher, Martin Havlat, and Michael Ryder will be scratched from Sunday's tilt with the Anaheim Ducks.

Unfortunately, Havlat and Ryder have proven to be unreliable sources of fantasy production with just 11 goals and 33 points through 87 combined games this season. Boucher meanwhile, still just 21 years old, has yet to produce with the Devils through seven games this season. But he does have 35 goals and 66 points over 134 games with AHL Albany since the beginning of last season.
Mar 29 - 7:16 PM

Reid Boucher has been summoned on an emergency basis.

Boucher was actually promoted prior to Saturday's contest, but he was a healthy scratch. With that in mind it wouldn't be surprising to see him returned to the minors soon.
Mar 22 - 10:00 AM

The New Jersey Devils have returned Reid Boucher to AHL Albany.

Boucher has no points in 20 AHL games this season. He was likely sent down to make room for either Michael Cammalleri (lower body) or Dainiuis Zubrus (leg).

Reid Boucher has been promoted by the New Jersey Devils.

The Devils have a number of injured forwards right now, so they could use all the help they can get. However, Boucher doesn't have enough offensive upside to make him worth rolling the dice on in standard leagues.

Reid Boucher has been returned to AHL Albany.

He suited up in three games for New Jersey during his recent stint with the team.
Mon, Nov 3, 2014 03:10:00 PM

Reid Boucher has been summoned from the minors.

The Devils have Martin Havlat (lower body) and Jordin Tootoo (foot) on injured reserve, so Boucher will travel with the team to Pittsburgh. However, he's unlikely to play unless Michael Cammalleri sits because of a jaw injury.
Mon, Oct 27, 2014 03:34:00 PM

Reid Boucher had a goal and an assist in the Devils' 5-4 preseason win on Monday.

"I think I have to keep playing like that," Boucher said. "It definitely didn't hurt (his chances of making the team), but I have to just keep improving every night." Boucher played alongside Adam Henrique and Michael Ryder. Devils coach Pete DeBoer noted that the line had good chemistry, so we'll see if they stick together in future exhibition contests.
Tue, Sep 23, 2014 10:31:00 AM

Reid Boucher is looking to make the New Jersey Devils out of training camp this season.

Boucher played 23 games for the Devils last season before he was sent to the minors on January 22. He had two goals and seven points but is a natural scorer and the Devils could certainly need some scoring help. Stay tuned.
