There is a report that the Washington Capitals recalled Julien Brouillette from the minors after Saturday's game.

The Capitals have Jack Hillen out and apparently were not happy with the effort of John Erskine on Saturday. Brouillette had a goal and an assist in his two NHL games before he was demoted. He is worth a flier if you are desperate for a scoring defenseman in the last two weeks of the season.
Mar 30 - 8:36 AM

Julien Brouillette has been sent to AHL Hershey.

Brouillette didn't end up playing in a game during his latest NHL stint. He made his NHL debut on Feb. 6 though and has two points in two games with Washington this season.
Feb 28 - 12:23 PM

Julien Brouillette has been called up by the Washington Capitals.

Brouillette is a bit of a feel good story as the organizational depth defenseman made his NHL debut at the age of 27 on Feb. 6 and recorded an assist in that contest. He ended up playing again on Feb. 8 and scored his first career goal before being returned to the minors for the Olympic break.
Feb 26 - 1:59 PM

Julien Brouillette will be sent back to the minors on Sunday.

It was a whirlwind two games for the 27-year-old defenseman who played his first two NHL games this past week. He had an assist in his first game and then had the game winner Saturday as his parents drove down from Quebec to see their son play in the NHL. Bouillette is not expected to be recalled when the NHL resumes play as Mike Green and John Erskine are expected to return from injury.
Feb 9 - 9:18 AM

Julien Brouillette scored his first career NHL goal in the Capitals' 3-0 win over the Devils on Saturday night.

Brouillette's goal was the game-winner and only one not scored into the empty net. It came at 10:50 of the second period. The 27-year-old blueliner had nine goals and 14 points in the AHL this year, and he already has two points in two NHL games now. Don't expect this level of "success" to continue. Martin Erat and Troy Brouwer each picked up empty-net goals. Nicklas Backstrom had two assists.
Feb 8 - 10:43 PM

Washington has recalled defenseman Julien Brouillette.

He will be the 13th defenseman to play for Washington this season and the fourth to make his NHL debut. "It's definitely special," Brouillette said. "Yesterday was a day I was not really going no where and suddenly the phone rings and makes your whole day special. This one is definitely another one tonight." He has 14 points in 29 games with AHL Hershey this season.
