Andrey Pedan cleared waivers and will start the season in the AHL.

"Talking to other general managers, I wasn’t surprised he cleared," GM Jim Benning said. "Lots of teams have their own players they want to give a chance to. I’m happy we’re able to keep Andrey. I still believe in him and think he can be a player that helps us." Pedan had 21 points and 87 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games last season.
Oct 9 - 10:28 AM

The Vancouver Canucks have placed Andrey Pedan on waivers.

The plan is to send Pedan to AHL Utica if he clears. He had 21 points and 87 penalty minutes in 45 AHL contests in 2015-16. While he fell short of making the team as a depth defenseman, it wouldn't be surprising to see him summoned later in the campaign.
Oct 7 - 10:56 AM

Andrey Pedan is going into training camp with a lot of confidence.

Pedan feels he's gotten stronger and will do a better job in his own zone with the puck. "I’m really excited for this year and I know anything can happen if you play solid," he said. "I came to North America because I like this type of hockey. I don’t like the big rinks. It’s slow and you can take a nap between shifts. I like when it’s intense and the boys are going at it. Some (Russian) guys get some injuries and want to take it easy on their bodies and go back there (KHL) and make some money. I’m ready to make the NHL." Pedan had no points and 18 penalty minutes in 13 games with Vancouver in 2015-16. At the AHL level he recorded 21 points and 87 PIM in 45 contests. Vancouver wants to carry eight defensemen and Pedan is waiver-eligible, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him make the Canucks' roster even if he's a scratch in the season opener.
Sep 21 - 5:37 AM

Andrey Pedan's new one-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks comes with a $700,000 cap hit if he plays in the NHL.

It's a two-way deal and Pedan will earn $100,000 annually if he plays in the minors. He had 21 points and 87 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games last season. He also had no points and 18 penalty minutes in 13 contests with Vancouver.
Jul 21 - 11:58 PM

Andrey Pedan has inked a one-year, two-way deal with the Vancouver Canucks.

Pedan had 21 points and 87 penalty minutes in 45 AHL contests in 2015-16. He also recorded 18 penalty minutes, but no points, in 13 games with the Vancouver Canucks.
Jul 21 - 2:37 PM

Andrey Pedan and Yannick Weber will be scratched against Edmonton on Saturady.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of fantasy value from either defender. Which is disappointing on both fronts, as Weber showed promise last season and Pedan seems unable to figure out the game's highest level.
Apr 9 - 7:53 PM

Andrey Pedan will be scratched Sunday against Chicago.

Pedan has played eight games for the Canucks this season, which draws an important decision for the club to deal with. Will they burn the first year of his ELC? If not, they have just one game to work with the rest of the season. Vancouver hasn't tipped their hand either way, yet. He's yet to register a point with 11 PIMs and 25 hits.
Mar 27 - 2:46 PM

Andrey Pedan will play Friday night against St. Louis.

This will be the 23-year-old's eight career game, and he's still searching for his first point. He posted 20 points and 83 penalty minutes in 42 games with AHL Utica, so we wouldn't expect much from his fantasy-wise.
Mar 25 - 6:10 PM

Andrey Pedan has been summoned from the minors.

He has appeared in three games with Vancouver this season, while posting 20 points and 83 penalty minutes in 42 games with AHL Utica.
Mar 15 - 3:41 PM

Vancouver has sent Andrey Pedan back to the minors.

He has skated in three games with Vancouver this season, but he has been a healthy scratch for the last five matches.
Jan 12 - 2:45 PM

Andrey Pedan will be a healthy scratch in Monday's game against Arizona.

The 22-year-old has no points and a minus-1 rating in three games with the Canucks this season. Alexandre Grenier will also watch the game from the press box. Neither of these players will have any fantasy value going forward.

Jan 4 - 10:14 PM

Andrey Pedan will be scratched from Tuesday's match with Tampa Bay.

Pedan's contributions to the Canucks have rung up a grand total of two hits and one block over 3:54 and six shifts. So the Norris Trophy is probably out of the question for him, unfortunately.

Andrey Pedan will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The 22-year-old has suited up in just one game this season and probably won't have any fantasy value going forward. Ronalds Kenins will also watch the game from the press box.

The Canucks recalled Audrey Pedan on Saturday night.

Pedan had two goals, nine points and 49 penalty minutes in 19 AHL games. He has played one NHL game, without a point.
