Kevan Miller (hand) is listed as a game-time decision for Thursday's game at Ottawa.

He took part in Boston's optional skate in the morning. If Kevan Miller isn't back in the lineup then Colin Miller will probably dress in Zdeno Chara's place.

Kevan Miller (hand) will probably be activated prior to Thursday's game against Ottawa.

He has missed 19 games with a broken hand, but he has declared himself good to go after he practiced alongside Joe Morrow on Wednesday.

Kevan Miller (hand) has been cleared to return to action.

However, he is still currently listed on injured reserve. "He was just cleared. We have some decisions to make before tomorrow's game," coach Claude Julien said Wednesday. Miller could be back in the lineup as soon as Thursday night.

Kevan Miller (hand) has been practicing.

He could be an option for the Bruins soon after the team lost Zdeno Chara to an injury on Tuesday night against St. Louis. Miller hasn't played a game yet this season because of a broken hand.

Oct 12 - 11:21 AM

Kevan Miller (undisclosed) has been placed on injured reserve.

That will keep him on the shelf for at least the first three games of the season, but he is slated to be sidelined "for and extended period of time," according to GM Don Sweeney.
Oct 12 - 9:19 AM

Kevan Miller will be out of action "for an extended period of time," according to GM Don Sweeney.

Sweeney indicated this injury was unrelated to the knee ailment Miller suffered during the preseason. The team is still waiting for another medical report on him, but he could start the year on injured reserve.
Oct 11 - 3:41 PM

Kevan Miller (undisclosed) is still "being evaluated" for his injury, according to coach Claude Julien.

It was reported that Miller suffered a bruised knee during an exhibition contest last week, but now the Bruins are calling an undisclosed ailment. He hasn't been on the ice for practice for the last two days and it's uncertain if he will be ready to go by Thursday.

Oct 6 - 12:27 PM

Kevan Miller sustained a lower-body injury in Tuesday's preseason match.

"He got hit with a puck last night, and that's why he didn't finish the game. So he's just being evaluated," said coach Claude Julien. "Right now I'd say there's no reason to think it's bad, but who knows nowadays. So we're just making sure he's evaluated, and probably by tomorrow we'll have a clear indication on that. We're hoping it's minor, and that we're just being extremely cautious on that." Miller didn't practice on Wednesday.
Oct 5 - 6:51 PM

Boston Bruins coach Claude Julien and GM Don Sweeney both feel that Kevan Miller has some upside left.

The Boston Bruins inked Miller to a four-year, $10 million contract extension on Tuesday. He'll turn 29 in November, so we're skeptical of the idea that he'll develop any further. In fact, we're more concerned about him regressing towards the end of this deal. Miller was never drafted and took the long path to the NHL, only earning a permanent spot with the Bruins last season. He's someone that has been rewarded for his hard work and determination. "We’re talking about character players and he’s certainly one of those character players who in my mind could become a leader," Julien said.
May 25 - 11:29 AM

Kevan Miller has agreed to a four-year, $10 million contract extension with the Boston Bruins.

That represents a big raise over Miller's previous contract, which paid him $1.6 million over two years. Miller had five goals, 13 assists, and 53 penalty minutes in 71 games last season. The 28-year-old blueliner has 159 NHL games under his belt.
May 24 - 3:11 PM

Kevan Miller can be an unrestricted free agent in the summer, but he would like to stay with the Bruins.

"We're probably going to keep that between my agent and me," Miller said. "Obviously, I love this city and I'd love to stay, but we'll keep that between us for now." He saw plenty of time on the penalty kill in 2015-16 and picked up 18 points in 71 games.
