Oct 20 - 9:50 AM

Kevan Miller left Saturday's game against the Buffalo Sabres with an upper-body injury.

Miller left the game in the first period after a fight with Sabres' forward Nicolas Deslauriers. The 26-year-old appeared to injure himself as he and Deslauriers fell to the ice after the fight. "It happened during the fight. I think when he fell, he hurt himself. He came off the ice with pain. I don’t know exactly what the injury is, so I’m going to refrain from saying anything," said Bruins' coach Claude Julien. "We’ll see how it boils down in the next day or two." Miller should be considered day-to-day right now.
Oct 19 - 9:37 AM

Kevan Miller could be a trade candidate for the Bruins, but he isn't paying attention to the rumors.

"I didn't hear that. ... I just need to worry about myself," he said. "Like I said, I don't try to pay attention to the media or anything like that. I just worry about my game and being ready to go for camp and trying to help my team." Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli is looking to clear salary cap space and free up some room on the back end at the same time. Miller's contract has a cap hit of $800,000 for the next two seasons.
Sep 16 - 6:44 AM

Kevan Miller is ready to move past his error in Game 6, which led to Montreal's game-winning goal.

"You've got to have a short memory," said the rookie defenseman. "I thought about it until about 12 o'clock (Monday) night. You've just got to turn the page and be ready to go." Boston's young defense has made some mistakes in the playoffs, but they have received strong performances from them as well. Miller will be looking to do the latter in Game 7 on Wednesday night.
May 14 - 6:44 AM

Kevan Miller (flu) got back in the lineup for Game 2 on Sunday.

He missed the playoff opener with the flu bug. Miller recorded two penalty minutes, four hits and two blocks during his 19:52 of ice time. It was his first career NHL playoff game. Miller replaced Corey Potter in the lineup.
Apr 21 - 10:00 AM

Kevan Miller didn't play in Game 1 Friday night because of the flu.

The Bruins were also missing blueliner Matt Bartkowski due to the flu bug. As a result of absences, Andrej Meszaros and Corey Potter suited up for Boston against Detroit.
Apr 19 - 9:32 AM

Kevan Miller should be able to suit up for Game 1 of the opening round of the playoffs on Friday against Detroit.

He missed two games of practice this week due to the flu but was able to participate in the team's workouts on Thursday and looks good to go. Although the Bruins are epxected to go deep into the playoffs, we do not anticipate Miller being a key offensive contributor.
Apr 18 - 9:04 AM

Kevan Miller feels ready to return from his undisclosed injury.

He will be a game-time decision for Thursday's match in Winnipeg. "It was just something minor that we were just trying to maintain," he said. "If it was the playoffs, I think it would be a different story."
Apr 10 - 9:49 AM

Kevan Miller (undisclosed) will be held out of Tuesday's contest.

Miller also missed Saturday's contest. He has six points and 38 penalty minutes in 44 games in 2013-14.
Apr 8 - 1:30 PM

Kevan Miller got a maintenance game off Saturday.

He did not dress for Saturday's contest against the Flyers as the Bruins can afford to give players with nagging injuries a little time off to heal. Miller may sit out another game as the Bruins have clinched first place in the Eastern Conference.
Apr 6 - 8:32 AM

Kevan Miller has agreed to a two-year/$1.6 million extension with the Boston Bruins.

This is Miller's first one-way contract, which means he'll earn the same amount even if he gets sent to the minors. The 26-year-old defenseman has a goal and an assist in 16 games with Boston in 2013-14.
Jan 21 - 6:32 PM

Look for rookie defenseman Kevan Miller to take the place of Johnny Boychuk Saturday night against the Sharks.

Boychuk left the team Friday as his wife is expecting twins and Miller will suit up in San Jose. Miller was a healthy scratch Thursday night against the Kings and really has no fantasy value with only two points in 11 games while in Boston.
Jan 11 - 8:39 AM

If Tory Krug can't play for the Boston Bruins today because of an undisclosed injury, look for Kevan Miller to replace him.

Miller was called up recently by the Bruins on an emergency basis. He's played in nine games for the Bruins and has contributed two points. Krug is iffy for today's game against the Winnipeg Jets after missing shifts in the final five minutes of the Bruins’ 3-2 overtime win against Nashville on Thursday. He was absent from practice Friday, with coach Claude Julien saying only that he was on a "maintenance day."
