They will report to the Hartford Wolf Pack if they clears. Schneider produced 24 goals and 63 points in 71 games with Rochester of the AHL last season. Cole Schneider has signed a contract with the New York Rangers.

The Rangers didn't provide any details beyond that, but it's presumably a two-way contract. Schneider had 24 goals and 63 points in 71 AHL contests. He'll celebrate his 27th birthday in August though, so he shouldn't be regarded as more than an organizational depth forward at this point.

Cole Schneider is eligible for unrestricted free agency, but he would like to stay with the Sabres organization.

"I like it here," he said. "It's close to home. They're a great organization, take great care of us. I would like to come back." Schneider amassed 63 points in 71 games with Rochester, which placed him sixth overall in the AHL. He also had one assist in four outings with the Sabres.

The 26-year-old posted a helper during his two games with the Sabres. He may be lighting up the minors, but it'll take more than that to stick in the bigs.

Cole Schneider registered his first NHL point Wednesday night.

He was brought up from the minors prior to Buffalo's match versus Ottawa. Schneider earned an assist on a goal by Nicholas Baptiste in the Sabres' 2-1 shootout defeat. He was tied for the AHL lead in scoring, with 15 points in 10 games, at the time of his recall.

Cole Schneider has been moved to waivers with the intention of sending him to the minors.

He made his NHL debut with the Sabres last year and he suited up in two games with the big club. In 19 games with Rochester, he collected 14 points in 19 contests.

The 6'1, 198-pound forward led the Rochester Americans in scoring last season with 55 points, and played in his first two NHL games. The 25-year-old has chipped in at least 20 goals and 50 points in each of his last three seasons.

The Williamsville, NY native was called up from the minors on Wednesday. "I had season tickets growing up, so it's always fun coming to games," said Schneider. "It was a little different this morning." The 25-year-old spent four seasons with Ottawa's AHL team in Binghamton after completing his two-year college career at the University of Connecticut. He practiced alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Zemgus Girgensons.

Schneider has 20 goals and 54 points in 69 AHL games. He started the campaign as a member of the Ottawa Senators' organization, but was acquired by the Sabres on Feb. 27. The 25-year-old hasn't played in an NHL game, but that might change on Friday.

Cole Schneider was sent to the Sabres along with Eric O’Dell, Alex Guptil, and Michael Sdao for Jason Akeson, Phil Varone and Jerome Leduc.

There's not a lick of fantasy value here. Thought Schneider is on his way to his third straight 50+ point campaign, as he's posted 17 goals and 42 points with AHL Binghamton this season.
