Justin Schultz found the back of the net in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars.

The Penguins had a 2-0 lead in the first period, but the allowed the Stars to score three unanswered goals to take the lead. But with Pittsburgh down by one late in regulation and goalie Matt Murray on the bench in favor of an extra attacker, Schultz found a way to tie the game. Unfortunately for the Pens, they couldn't figure out Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen in the shootout. Schultz has three goals and 15 points in 39 games this season.

Schultz collided face first into the boards after being hit from behind by the Kings' Dustin Brown on Thursday. Justin Schultz (lower body) is "making significant progress," according to coach Mike Sullivan.

Schultz hasn't returned to the ice though and that will be the next step in his recovery from a lower-body injury. The Penguins will get a better idea of when he will be can return once that happens.

As previously reported, Schultz has been moved to the injured reserve list. He was hurt during Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers. As a result of Schultz's injury, Chad Ruhwedel drew into the lineup on Thursday and played alongside Ian Cole.
