Anders Lee picked up two more assists in Team USA's 3-1 victory over Team Switzerland on Thursday night.

Lee now sits tied with teammate Jack Eichel for second on the team in assists with four. The New York Islanders' forward also now has five points, which is tied for fourth on the team with Eichel on the team.

Anders Lee is once again a healthy scratch for Game 7 Monday night in Washington.

Monday will be the second straight game Lee will sit out with the Islanders season on the line. The rookie has to be shocked by his benching the last two games but it doesn’t come unwarranted as he’s only registered one assists with a minus two rating and seven penalty minutes in five games played during the series. If the Isles move on to round two, then look for Lee to rejoin the lineup with a fresh start.

With their season on the line, the New York Islanders are keeping forward Anders Lee out of the lineup against the Washington Capitals in Game 6.

This is definitely a bit of a surprise, as Lee has had a nice season with New York, not looking out of place while getting some turns with John Tavares' various lines. Adjust your lineups accordingly.

He broke an 11-game goalless drought in the process as well. Remember this is Lee's rookie campain, and he now Lee now has 25 goals and 41 points over 74 games. Lee also has 35 goals and 57 points through the first 98 games of his career.

Anders Lee was the only goal scorer for the Islanders in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Rangers.

The 23rd of the season for Lee opened the scoring midway through the first period, but he hand his teammates were unable to solve Cam Talbot after that point. Fellow youngsters Ryan Strome and Brock Nelson drew assists on the lone tally.

Anders Lee is likely in for a big payday.

Lee accepted a one-year, $850,500 qualifying offer for the 2014-15 campaign and has given the Islanders plenty of bang for their buck. He has 20 goals and 32 points in 56 contests in his first full campaign. At the age of 24, Lee is scheduled to become just a restricted free agent this summer, so the Islanders aren't in any significant danger of losing him, but they'll need to give him a significant raise all the same. It wouldn't be surprising if the two sides come to terms on a multi-year contract now that he's established himself as an important part of the Islanders.

Lee opened the scoring in the first period then capped it off in the second, while Casey Cizikas scored in between for the Isles' 3-2 victory. Lee now has points in three consecutive games and 24 points through 49 games in total this year.

Lee has been one of the pleasant surprises on the Islanders' roster this season. The 24-year-old has 16 goals and 21 points in 46 games this season. Lee is on pace to reach the 25-goal mark for the first time in his career.
