Dec 4 - 11:35 PM

Anders Lee scored the game-winning goal in a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night.

The Islanders blew a 3-0 lead entering the third period, but Lee's goal with just under 27 seconds remaining in the game won it for New York. Lee started off his season with only two points through his first 18 games, but now has four points in his last four games. Despite his recent surge in production, we still wouldn't recommend rushing to pick him up off the waiver wire considering he is shuffling back and forth between the third and fourth line for the Islanders. Johnny Boychuk, Jason Chimera, Casey Cizikas, and Nikolay Kulemin also scored for the Islanders.
Nov 30 - 10:56 PM

With his fourth tally of the season on Friday, Anders Lee now has three goals in his two games.

The Islanders didn't win either game against the Kings on Wednesday nor the Sharks today, though. Lee is now up to a grand total of five points in 20 games this season. A order of magnitude off the precedent set for himself during his rookie campaign.
Nov 25 - 8:29 PM

Anders Lee tied the game at the 4:27 minute mark of the third period and scored a second "meaningless" goal in the third as the New York Islanders lost a 4-2 contest to the Los Angeles Kings Wednesday night.

That snapped a five-game point-less streak for the Minnesota native as he more than doubled his goal count for the year. With three goals in 19 games and one assist, he struggles to be fantasy relevant.
Nov 24 - 1:33 AM

Anders Lee netted a goal in the Islanders' 3-2 loss to the Sharks Tuesday night.

It was Lee's first goal and point of the 2016-17 campaign. He had 15 goals and 36 points in 80 games last season.
Oct 19 - 8:54 AM

Anders Lee (foot) was able to play in the Islanders' opener on Thursday.

Lee left Wednesday's practice after being struck in the foot by a shot. He had a minus-two rating in 13:14 minutes of ice time Thursday night.
Oct 14 - 10:30 AM

Anders Lee seems to be OK after he was hit in the foot with a shot Wednesday at practice.

It's still uncertain if he will play on Thursday, but the injury is not expected to be a long-term issue.
Oct 12 - 5:04 PM

Anders Lee left Wednesday's practice after he was struck in the leg by a slapshot.

His status for Thursday's opener is unclear at this time. Lee had 15 goals and 36 points in 80 games with the Islanders last year.
Oct 12 - 3:58 PM

Anders Lee (leg) feels like he could have been ready if the Islanders' second-round series against Tampa Bay would've went seven games.

Lee suffered a broken left fibula at the end of the regular season. He didn't get to play in the playoffs as a result and will have to wait until next year after the Lightning eliminated the Isles in five games.
May 10 - 12:21 PM

Anders Lee has undergone surgery on his broken left fibula.

Lee suffered the injury when he absorbed a slapshot from teammate Johnny Boychuk. Lee isn't likely to join the Islanders before the end of their playoff run. He had 15 goals and 36 points in 80 regular season games.
Apr 13 - 11:12 AM

The New York Islanders have confirmed that Anders Lee is out indefinitely with a broken left fibula.

Lee was struck by teammate Johnny Boychuk's slapshot during Thursday's contest. This will obviously prevent Lee from playing in the season finale, but it will likely prevent him from participating in any part of the Islanders' playoff run too. He has 15 goals and 36 points in 80 contests in 2015-16.
Apr 8 - 10:21 AM

Anders Lee is out indefinitely fractured his leg in the Islanders victory over the New York Rangers.

This is not good news for the Islanders who are already injury depleted. The Islanders already have Travis Hamonic (knee), Jaroslav Halak (groin) and Mikhail Grabovski (concussion symptoms) out long term already. Lee will undergo more tests on Friday. In 80 games this season, the 25 year-old has 15 goals and 36 points.
Apr 8 - 9:29 AM

Anders Lee suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's game against the New York Rangers.

Lee was hit by a shot from teammate Johnny Boychuk. The Islanders have already announced that Lee's night is over. They'll probably provide an update on his status after the game. He's considered day-to-day for now.
Apr 7 - 8:16 PM

Anders Lee now has goals in three of his last four games thanks to his tally during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Washington.

After potting 25 goals and 41 points in 76 games as a rookie last season, Lee has had trouble escaping the sophomore slump. But his final totals may look good as he's now up to 15 goals and 36 points in 79 games this campaign.
