Anders Lee picked up two goals and an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals.

Lee found himself in the right spot when Thomas Hickey's feed ricocheted off of him and in behind Holtby to tie the game. Unfortunately, Lars Eller scored less than 10 minutes later to win it for the Capitals. Lee now has eight goals and 15 points in 13 games this season and should definitely be owned in every league moving forward.

Anders Lee scored twice to lead the Islanders to a 5-3 win over San Jose Saturday.

Lee has five goals this season in eight games after a 34 goal campaign last year. He also has an assist and has the prime job with the Islanders playing alongside John Tavares. Needless to say, he should be in your lineup.

That was Lee's third goal and point in seven games in 2017-18. He set career-highs last season with 34 goals and 52 points in 81 contests. We're skeptical about his chances of matching his 2016-17 goal total, but so far he is on pace to do just that.

His goal total will probably come down a little bit this year, but the 27-year-old should still score between 20-30 goals. Top prospect Mathew Barzal also scored for New York.

Apr 7 - 10:38 AM

Anders Lee's 31-goal showing so far in 2016-17 is even more impressive than it looks at first glance.

Lee only scored a single goal during his first 18 games of the campaign, which means he's had to net 30 goals in his last 59 games. In other words, not counting those first 18 contests, he's been scoring at a 41-goal pace. "Things have really turned around," he said. "It’s one of those things where if you believe in yourself, you can work through stuff like that, but then you have to do it . . . I’m extremely grateful. It’s pretty cool." You have to wonder if that means he can do even better in 2017-18 if he manages to avoid a similar cold start.
