Look for Boston defenseman Zach Trotman to get more playing time due to the injury to Adam McQuaid,

Trotman had been a healthy scratch for 10 of the Bruins' last 11 games, but should play in consecutive contests this week while McQuaid is on injured reserve. That said, Trotman has no fantasy value.

Zach Trotman and Joe Morrow will each be scratched from Saturday's match with Buffalo.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of fantasy potential between these two young players. Trotman has three points, eight PIMs, and 23 hits through 15 games, which is far more than what Morrow has managed in 11 games.

Zach Trotman picked up the primary assist on Zdeno Chara's game-winning goal against Toronto on Saturday night.

Trotman fed a wide-open Chara, who blasted a shot by Leafs goalie James Reimer. The 25-year-old has two assists in seven games this season. He's played 19 minutes or more in each of Boston's last four games. "They left Z all alone on the outside, so I just threw it over there where there was less traffic. And he was able to put it in." Trotman said after the game.

Zach Trotman has been back in the lineup for the Boston Bruins for the last two games.

He has been paired with Kevan Miller, who has transitioned to the left side. Trotman had been a healthy scratch since suiting up back on Oct. 8. He made his long-awaited return to the lineup on Saturday against Montreal.

Zach Trotman will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Washington.

Zac Rinaldo will also watch Thursday's game from the press box. Trotman has suited up in just one game this season and has no points and a minus-2 rating in that lone appearance. Neither player has any fantasy value going forward.

Zach Trotman will be scratched for the fifth straight game.

After playing over 13 minutes in the Bruins regular season opener, the 25-year-old has spent the past four games in the press box. Wednesday against the Flyers will make it his fifth straight scratch, requiring another hand to count the potentially next scratch.

Zach Trotman is poised to land a spot wit Boston out of training camp.

The trade of Dougie Hamilton during the summer has opened a spot on the back end and Trotman played well for the Bruins last year alongside Zdeno Chara when Hamilton was injured. Trotman earned the trust of coach Claude Julien and his one-way contract places him a good position to stick with the big club as well.

The Boston Bruins will rely on young defenseman Zach Trotman to eat up some minutes for them in 2015-16.

Trotman didn't look out of place during his time with the Bruins last season. He finished the year on a pairing with Zdeno Chara and he should see a good amount of action going forward. "In Trotman’s situation, he’s made some pretty good plays and he’s been pretty reliable," said head coach Claude Julien. At some point you have to balance out your back end depending on who you’re playing. Some teams have two or three good lines and if you put all your best D’s on one pair, you become vulnerable. We’ve had to rely on [young guys], and at the same time, I think they’ve been earning our trust with the way they’ve been playing."

With the trading of Dougie Hamilton, look for Zach Trotman or Joe Morrow to get a chance to crack the Bruins' roster out of training camp.

Trotman registered five points in 27 games with Boston last season, while Morrow scored a goal in 15 contests. Neither projects as a top offensive rearguard, although Morrow was a standout with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL between 2008-12. The Bruins are high on both Trotman and Morrow, but they will offer little to those in fantasy pools, at least in 2015-16.

Zach Trotman has been assigned to the minors.

He was up with the Bruins on an emergency basis because of Dougie Hamilton's injury late in the season. Trotman suited up in 27 matches with Boston this season and he contributed five points along with 44 hits and 33 blocks.

Zach Trotman, who was recalled on an emergency basis due to a Dougie Hamilton injury last week, has been playing very well and may stick in Boston for a while.

He has been a settling presence on the Boston blueline and has been instrumental in the Bruins' latest win streak. Trotman has also chipped in offensively, scoring a big winning goal against Detroit this week. We are not recommending you pick up Trotman at this time but we are advising those in rebuilding mode to watch him.

The Boston Bruins have recalled Zach Trotman on an emergency basis.

Dougie Hamilton suffered an undisclosed injury in Saturday's loss to Florida so the Bruins needed another body. Trotman will be available to suit up in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Zach Trotman has been called up by the Boston Bruins.

Trotman has two goals and 12 points in 35 games with AHL Providence this season. He's not expected to have much, if any, fantasy value in standard leagues during his stint with Boston.

Zach Trotman has been assigned to the minors.

He hasn't been in the lineup since Dec. 17 and was serving as an extra defenseman for the Bruins. The move could mean that Adam McQuaid is close to returning from a broken thumb or Boston is going to bring someone else up from the minors to give Trotman some playing time in Providence.
