Danny DeKeyser said that his camp and Detroit "haven't really gotten a whole lot into" his contract negotiations yet.
DeKeyser is eligible to become a restricted free agent on July 1. He had eight goals and 20 points in 78 contests in 2015-16. "I'm sure talks will get moving more towards the end of the month or into July as we get going," he said. "I don't expect it to drag out real long. Hopefully it gets done sooner rather than later." We'll see (Thursday) where it's at but he couldn't put any weight on it to finish the game." DeKeyser scored his seventh goal of the season to open the scoring in the first period.
