Nov 4 - 3:21 PM

Danny DeKeyser suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

DeKeyser is expected to need another one-to-three weeks. He won't skate for a week to see if that helps and then he will be re-evaluated. Right now, surgery does not appear to be in the cards.
Oct 30 - 1:44 PM

Danny DeKeyser (ankle) probably won't play on Saturday night.

The Red Wings believed that there was a chance he could suit up on Thursday night, but he didn't. It seems like his ankle injury hasn't progressed as much as they would have hoped. He remains day-to-day for now.
Oct 28 - 8:55 AM

Oct 15 - 1:22 PM

Danny DeKeyser (lower body) was termed as day-to-day by Detroit coach Jeff Blashill.

Oct 11 - 4:59 PM

Danny DeKeyser suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's game against the Stars and he was unable to return.

DeKeyser's status for Thursday's game against the Coyotes is murky. When healthy, he is expected to work on the team's top defensive pairing. However, despite his lofty status among the rearguards, he remains a rather marginal fantasy option due to his lack of offense. More often than not, the only reason he is on a roster in fantasy is for his blocked shots and hits.
Oct 11 - 12:14 AM

Danny DeKeyser is expected to open training camp on a pairing with Trevor Daley.

Detroit signed Daley, who had been with Pittsburgh during the last two years, when free agency opened on July 1st. DeKeyser spent the majority of last season playing with Mike Green, who isn't exactly the most reliable player in his own end. Daley is fully capable of jumping into the rush, but he's more responsible defensively. DeKeyser had four goals, 12 points and a minus-22 rating in 82 games with the Red Wings last season. Don't expect him to have any fantasy value next season, but the Wings need him to be much better than he was last season.
Aug 22 - 10:28 AM

Danny DeKeyser doesn't agree with the NHL's decision to sit out the 2018 Winter Olympics.

"I don't think that's a very good decision," DeKeyser said. "I don't know who that benefits. It hurts everybody involved – both parties (players and NHL owners) – so it doesn't really make sense." Most players want to participate in the event, but the league and the owners decided to skip it. DeKeyser has represented the U.S. at two World Championships, including the 2017 tournament.
Aug 5 - 9:11 AM

Danny DeKeyser will play for Team USA at the 2017 IIHF World Championships.

Fellow Red Wings Jimmy Howard and Dylan Larkin will also be on the American roster. Detroit coach Jeff Blashill will be the bench boss for the U.S. Team.
Apr 14 - 9:30 AM

It was his fourth goal of the year and his first since Feb. 3. Unfortunately, DeKeyser also scored into his own net in the match when he tried to clear a rebound. He has contributed 12 points in 77 games this season.
Mar 31 - 8:45 AM

Danny DeKeyser scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 5-4 win over the New York Islanders.

DeKeyser's shot from the point with under 30 seconds remaining bounced a few times before making its way into the net. The goal gave Detroit a late 5-4 lead and they never looked back. "(Zetterberg) did a good job of winning the draw," DeKeyser said. "It hit a couple of guys going to the net. You just try to throw it on net." DeKeyser has three goals and eight points in 51 games. He has no value in standard leagues.
