Jason Zucker left Thursday's game against Boston because of a lower-body injury.

Zucker was injured after Bruins forward Matt Beleskey slashed him in the back of the leg near the end of the third period. The Wild forward needed help to get off the ice. The injury doesn't look good. To watch a replay of the slash, click on the link below.

Jason Zucker scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season on Thursday night to help Minnesota top Carolina 3-2.

Zucker got the Wild back in the game after falling behind 2-0 in the first period, then completed the comeback with a redirected shot late in overtime to give Minnesota the victory. The 23-year-old is showing signs of having a breakout year with 13 points in 15 contests so far.

Jason Zucker is slated to play the point on Minnesota's top power-play unit opposite Ryan Suter.

Charlie Coyle will take Zucker's spot on the second unit with Nino Niederreiter, Thomas Vanek, Jared Spurgeon and Matt Dumba. It was his first goal of the 2015-16 season. Zucker has picked up a point in three straight games now. He scored 21 goals in 51 games last year and is expected to build on that this campaign.

Jason Zucker played through a broken thumb for Minnesota's last few playoff games.

He admitted it was difficult to stick handle and he kept having it numbed so he could play. Zucker generated two goals and one assist in 10 postseason games after he posted 21 goals and 26 points in 51 games during the regular season.

Jason Zucker ignited the Wild's comeback from a 3-0 deficit just 1:21 into the second period on Friday night.

Unfortunately, they'd still fall to the Blackhawks in Game One 4-3. Through 14:27 of ice time, Zucker had a hit, block, and takeaway along with a trio of shots and his goal. He now has two goals and three points through seven games this postseason.

Jason Zucker stayed hot and scored a pretty wrap-around goal to open Thursday's scoring during Minnesota's eventual 4-2 Game One win over St. Louis.

In just 13:15 of ice, including 1:05 short-handed, Zucker contributed three more shots and a hit over that span. He now has two goals and three points over six career playoff games. Zucker has now scored four goals over the past four games for the Wild, including the regular season.

Confirming an earlier report, Jason Zucker indeed will return Tuesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks from a broken clavicle.

Zucker had posted 18 goals and 23 points over 48 games before the injury, and is expected to skate on the fourth line to the left of Kyle Brodziak and Jordan Schroeder.
