According to Wild forward Jason Zucker, Las Vegas is a good hockey market.

Zucker was born in California, but moved to Las Vegas when he was a young child. "I love supporting the Vegas community in any way that I can," said Zucker. "Most people don't realize that there's hockey here. It's fun to be able to talk to them and maybe open their eyes a little bit. But it is a good hockey community." The Las Vegas hockey team will begin play in the NHL at the start of the 2017-18 season.

Jason Zucker intends to shoot more in 2016-17.

He got a tattoo on the back of his left wrist with Tucker Helstrom's signature and underneath it reads, "SHOOT MORE!" Tucker, who passed away earlier this month at the age of nine, was befriended by Zucker at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital back in December and the most frequent advice he gave to the Wild winger was to shoot more. Zucker had 13 goals on 158 shots last year.
Jul 25 - 1:10 PM

Jason Zucker has signed a two-year contract with Minnesota worth $4 million.

He will earn $2 million in 2016-17 and 2017-18. Zucker was a disappointment last season when he posted 13 goals and 23 points in 71 games. More was expected from him after he tallied 21 markers in 51 appearances during the 2014-15 campaign.
Jun 29 - 1:35 PM

Minnesota is reportedly working on a bridge contract with Jason Zucker.

The two sides are apparently getting close to a new deal for the pending restricted free agent, which would avoid salary arbitration. Zucker, who could end up getting a two-year deal, produced 13 goals and 23 points in 71 games with the Wild last season.
Jun 29 - 10:41 AM

Jason Zucker is projected to play with Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle in Game 1 against Dallas on Thursday night.

In his past 31 games, Zucker has contributed just two goals and two assists. "I've got to find a way to get it done," he said. "But it's nothing to do with statistics. It's all about winning. We need to have as many guys in this room scoring as we can and playing the right way with speed and pace." The Wild like the way Zucker plays with Coyle, but Coyle has also struggled lately with no goals and eight assists in his last 18 games.
Apr 13 - 9:27 AM

Jason Zucker has struggled down the stretch.

He has just two goals and four points in his last 28 contests dating back to Jan. 9. He's been made a healthy scratch multiple times in the second half of the season. "I thoughts Zucks played a better game after he played with Chuckie, I really did," John Torchetti said. "I liked his battle level, I liked his commitment to getting the puck to the net. I thought he was re-engaged."
Apr 3 - 10:45 AM

It looks as if Jason Zucker will once again be a healthy scratch.

He likely won't play Saturday against Colorado as the Wild defeated the Flames Thursday with Zucker in the press box and Minnesota coach John Torechetti will not change his lineup. Keep Zucker on your bench for now.
Mar 26 - 11:26 AM

Jason Zucker will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Calgary.

Thomas Vanek will be back in the lineup on Thursday after serving as a healthy scratch. Zucker has 13 goals and 23 points in 65 games this season. He has just one goal in his last nine games. Chris Porter and Nate Prosser will join him in the press box.
Mar 24 - 8:18 PM

Jason Zucker scored in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Zucker gave the Wild a 2-1 lead just 16 seconds into the third frame. The 24-year-old has 13 goals and 23 points in 63 games this season. Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle picked up the assists on the go-ahead goal.
Mar 20 - 10:21 AM

Jason Zucker looks like he will be back in the lineup on Thursday night.

He skated with Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle during Wednesday's practice. Zucker has been scratched for the last two games, but he appears to be set to return to the lineup. He has one goal and two assists in his past 21 games.
Mar 17 - 9:15 AM

Coach John Torchetti will forego any lineup changes for Tuesday's match with the Senators.

This means Jason Zucker, Mike Reilly, and Chris Porter will continue to watch the game from the stands. Perhaps the most disappointing of the bunch is Zucker, who has posted just three goals since the turn of the calendar. A span of 22 games.
Mar 15 - 7:05 PM

Jason Zucker, Mike Reilly, and Chris Porter will each be scratched against Montreal on Saturday.

Unfortunately there isn't much fantasy value to be found here. Zucker, despite his 12 goals and 22 points this season, has just one goal over his last 21 games. Reilly has five points and 17 blocks through 20 games. While Porter however has a whopping 144 hits through 56 games this season.
Mar 12 - 1:40 PM

Jason Zucker (concussion) will indeed make his return on Saturday.

Zucker was activated from the injured reserve list on Friday, so his return was expected, but now we have further confirmation. It will be his first game since Feb. 21.
Mar 4 - 3:56 PM

Jason Zucker (concussion) has been taken off the injured reserve list.

Zucker might not end up playing on Saturday, but this certainly sets the stage for that. He has 12 goals and 22 points in 58 contests in 2015-16.
