Jason Zucker has inked a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild.
Zucker's deal is two-ways in 2014-15, but it will be a one-way agreement in the second season of the contract. He had four goals and five points in 21 games with Minnesota last season, but he has significantly more offensive upside than those numbers imply. Jul 15 - 4:11 PM

"I don't want to say he played poorly, but he didn't demand a spot for himself in the lineup tonight, too," said coach Mike Yeo. Jason Zucker is projected to skate with Charlie Coyle and Nino Niederreiter on Minnesota's second line Wednesday night.

He was just recalled from the minors on Monday and his reappearance at the NHL level will bump Dany Heatley down to the fourth line. "Every time that we've called him up, we've tried to surround him with players that can give him a chance to succeed," coach Mike Yeo said of Zucker. "If he's going to come up, he's going to have a role in our offensive game. That's what we want him to do. We want him to contribute." In six games this year with the Wild, Zucker hasn't contributed a point.
