Jason Zucker scored 19 seconds after the opening faceoff Wednesday night to help the Minnesota Wild edge the visiting Montreal Canadiens 2-1.

Zucker, enjoying an all-star type of season scored on a snap shot from the right side of the net. Zucker's shot hit the shoulder of Carey Price, deflected off the crossbar and rolled down the Montreal goaltender's back. The Wild's winning goal was scored by Jason Pominville, his fifth of the season. Pominville's goal ended a 10-game drought.
Dec 3 - 10:29 PM

Left winger Jason Zucker scored two goals Monday night to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-1 victory over the Panthers in Florida.

Minnesota has won four games in a row. Zucker's goals were his seventh and eighth of the season. Both of Zucker's goals were set up by center Mikko Koivu, who now has five assists. Nino Niederreiter scored an unassisted goal, his 10th of the season, in the first period and Zach Parise (eighth) had an empty-net goal with 1:29 remaining.
Nov 24 - 11:18 PM

Jason Zucker scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory against Philadelphia on Thursday.

His sixth goal of the year crossed the goal line with just 45.4 seconds left in the third period. Zucker snapped a 10-game goalless drought with the marker.
Nov 21 - 11:04 AM

Jason Zucker has been a responsible two-way player for the Wild.

He's played mostly on the fourth line, but he was recently promoted to a line with Mikko Koivu. Zucker isn't seeing any power-play time even though he leads the team with five goals and he's contributed seven points in 10 games.
Nov 3 - 1:02 PM

Jason Zucker scored two goals in Saturday's win against Tampa Bay and now leads the Wild in goals so far this season.

It's still early but Zucker has four goals and has done his damage while playing mostly on the fourth line. The Wild have several talented forward on their team so it's unlikely Zucker will continue to lead them in any offensive categories, but Zucker's production in a welcomed surprise for the Wild.
Oct 26 - 12:36 PM

Minnesota Wild head coach Mike Yeo says the team needs more from forward Jason Zucker.

Zucker sent a pass into teammate Matt Dumba's skates that led to Corey Perry's game winning goal on Friday. "With his speed, it’s just kind of a minor thing and these are learning moments," Yeo said. "If he can have a bit of a shoulder check, he can realize that he has a little bit more time and space, that he’s part of the attack as opposed to just moving it to somebody. It’s just trying to get his feet going and with his speed, that could be such a factor for us. We saw it on his goal. As much as anything else, I wanted to make sure he knows that one mistake, that’s part of the game, that’s part of the process for a young player and he’s still developing and you’ve got to move on from that and learn from it."
Oct 19 - 12:09 PM

Jason Zucker scored his second goal of the season on Friday night, beating Anaheim's Frederik Andersen.

Albeit it was a softy. Andersen probably should've had it as he wasn't settled yet when Zucker snapped one from the left dot off a rush. Then again, perhaps Zucker deserves credit for shooting before he got set. Either way, a goal is a goal and this one counts just the same.
Oct 18 - 1:28 AM

Jason Zucker made Minnesota's roster out of camp and he's determined to prove himself.

"I want to prove to myself that I'm not a callup and I can play in this league," said the 22-year-old forward. "I'm definitely not satisfied with it. I want to get better and I want to get better every day. I don't want to be just another guy. I want to be somebody who helps this team win on a daily basis." Zucker has eight goals and 12 points in 47 career NHL contests. He appeared in a career high 21 games last year.
Oct 7 - 10:42 AM

Jason Zucker has finally recovered from last season's leg surgery.

There were complications after a minor procedure Zucker had to his right knee in January which led to another surgery to repair a tendon in his right quadriceps that kept him from returning to the ice for the balance of the season. The good news is that the speedy Zucker is fully recovered and has been skating with his teammates for a few weeks. He will attempt to grab a third or fourth line job with the Wild this season but he has the potential to move up if everything breaks his way.
Sep 6 - 11:04 AM

Jason Zucker has inked a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild.

Zucker's deal is two-ways in 2014-15, but it will be a one-way agreement in the second season of the contract. He had four goals and five points in 21 games with Minnesota last season, but he has significantly more offensive upside than those numbers imply.
Jul 15 - 4:11 PM

Jason Zucker underwent successful leg surgery on Tuesday.

Zucker won't be able to return before the end of the 2013-14 campaign. The good news is that he should be fine for the Wild's opening game next season. He had four goals and five points in 21 games this season.
Mar 26 - 6:55 PM

Jason Zucker requires additional surgery to repair a tendon in his right quadriceps.

Therefore, he will miss the rest of the season. "It's a setback, but he should be fine for next season," GM Chuck Fletcher said. "It's frustrating it came to all this. I feel badly for the kid." Zucker had a "minor" procedure on his knee during the Olympic break and he aggravated it during his training.
Mar 20 - 3:59 PM

Jason Zucker is unlikely to play again this season, according to GM Chuck Fletcher.

He aggravated his knee during his recovery and will probably require an additional procedure. "It's gone from something minor to not," Fletcher said. Zucker has skated in 21 games with the Wild this campaign and he's recorded five points.
Mar 19 - 11:06 AM

Jason Zucker (leg) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Zucker underwent a "minor" procedure over the Olympic break. He has four goals and five points in 21 games in 2013-14.
