The Wild have announced that Jason Zucker and Thomas Vanek will be scratched Saturday night against the Blues.
After dropping four straight, the Wild are making changes. Zucker scored 21 goals in 51 games last season and has only managed to score 11 this season in the same amount of games. With only 1 point in his last 11 games, he became an easy target for coach Mike Yeo to sit. Chris Porter and Tyler Graovac will enter the lineup tonight. Feb 6 - 1:19 PM

Jason Zucker scored in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Zucker tied the game in the second period after Jaromir Jagr opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game. Mikko Koivu and Ryan Suter picked up the assists on the Wild's only goal. Zucker has 10 goals and 18 points in 38 games in 2015-16.
Jan 3 - 9:07 PM

Jason Zucker potted a goal for the Wild in their 3-1 loss to the Penguins on Saturday night.

Not the result you’d expect when facing a 21-year-old in his third career start. Zucker is a useful player, but not really a major asset in fantasy leagues. He has nine goals and 17 points in 34 games. Thomas Vanek and Marco Scandella got the helpers.

Jason Zucker missed a penalty shot in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators.

Zucker faced the Predators' Pekka Rinne, but Nashville's goaltender had the last laugh. Zucker eventually beat Rinne a little later on to cut Nashville's lead to 3-2. He has 16 points in 31 games this season.

The Minnesota Wild's lack of discipline cost them in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Nashville.

The Predators scored one goal on five power play attempts, but all the advantages seemed to give Nashville the momentum in the game. "Giving them two 5-on-3s in the first period is never a recipe for success," said Jason Zucker. Minnesota took penalties for interference, delay of game (twice), too many men on the ice and embellishment. They took three of those penalties just 2:22 apart in the first frame.

Jason Zucker picked up his eighth goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Nashville.

Zucker has tantalizing scoring talent, and with 16 points in 31 games there's reason to believe. He even has 29 goals and 42 points over his last 82 games, but top-six forwards score at a better clip than that so you may wish to keep that in mind.

Jason Zucker ended his 10-game scoring drought Tuesday night.

He potted his seventh goal in a 6-2 win over Vancouver. Zucker had a plus-2 rating and four shots in the match. He has 15 points in 29 games.

Jason Zucker and Minnesota have started preliminary contract discussions.

"We're not in any hurry to get something done," GM Chuck Fletcher said. "We just want to make the right deal, and whenever that happens, it happens." Zucker can be a restricted free agent in the summer. He scored 21 goals in 51 games last season, but it's been an inconsistent year for him in 2015-16. Zucker hasn't posted a point in 10 straight games after a solid start.

Jason Zucker has not earned a point in eight straight games.

He posted a minus-2 rating and no shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to Colorado on Monday night. Zucker had six goals and six assists in 13 games before his cold streak.

Jason Zucker is slated to play the point on Minnesota's top power-play unit opposite Ryan Suter.

Charlie Coyle will take Zucker's spot on the second unit with Nino Niederreiter, Thomas Vanek, Jared Spurgeon and Matt Dumba. The Wild have to make changes because of Zach Parise's injury and the absence of Marco Scandella due to a family matter. Zucker is expected to be the trigger man on the power play.

Jason Zucker's point streak is now up to six games with his goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.
