The Canadiens announced after Wednesday's game that defenseman Greg Pateryn was being returned to AHL Hamilton.
He logged just under seven minutes of ice time during Wednesday's shootout win over Ottawa in his third NHL appearance of the season. Montreal doesn't play again until Saturday, so Pateryn or another defender could join the team before then if the team doesn't get Yannick Weber or Raphael Diaz back from injury. Mar 14 - 10:14 AM

There is a good chance that recently-recalled defenseman Greg Pateryn will draw into the Canadiens' lineup against Tampa Saturday.

His fate will be determined after the morning skate. If Pateryn does get the chance to play, it will likely be at the expense of Tomas Kaberle, who would be a healthy scratch. Pateryn does not have any immediate fantasy value.
