Greg Pateryn has been one of the Canadiens' better defenseman in camp so far.

He scored a goal in Montreal's 6-0 win over Carolina Friday night and played a strong two-way game in the process. Montreal coach Michel Therrien indicated that Pateryn, who was not expected to break camp with the Habs, would be the logical replacement for the injured Davis Drewiske. Despite his impressive showing to date, Pateryn is not likely to make any fantasy impact this season.

His fate will be determined after the morning skate. If Pateryn does get the chance to play, it will likely be at the expense of Tomas Kaberle, who would be a healthy scratch. Pateryn does not have any immediate fantasy value.
