The New York Rangers acquired Chris Brown from the Washington Capitals for Ryan Bourque.

Brown missed the beginning of the season because of a hand injury. When he returned, he spent most of the time watching Caps games from the press box. Brown skated in just one game for the Capitals in 2015-16. The 25-year-old has three goals and nine points in 20 AHL games this season.

Brown was summoned on November 26th and has only played in one game with Washington (Dec. 10). The 24-year-old forward will likely clear waivers and return to the minors.

Chris Brown was included in Washington's opening game lineup.

Brown had 16 goals and 40 points in 63 AHL games in 2013-14. Don't expect much from him in Washington though - at least not yet. He logged just 3:42 minutes of ice time in Thursday's game.

Forward Chris Brown scored his first career NHL goal in Washington's 3-2 shootout win over San Jose on Saturday night.

Brown amassed 37 points in 54 AHL games while a member of the Coyotes organization, but he was acquired by the Caps in the trade of Martin Erat. Eric Fehr also found the back of the net for Washington in the victory.
