Brian Flynn scored the tying goal in the third period and added the shootout winner in Buffalo's 4-3 win over Montreal on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has three goals and five points in 15 games this season. His ice-time has increased in the Sabres' last few games, but he doesn't have any value in standard fantasy leagues.
Nov 30 - 12:13 PM

Brian Flynn sat five straight games as a healthy scratch before getting back into the lineup over the weekend.

He played on Saturday and Sunday, but he's been scratched for nine of Buffalo's first 13 games. Flynn recorded his first goal since Feb. 28 against Detroit in Sunday's contest.
Nov 5 - 8:17 AM

Brian Flynn was a healthy scratch Wednesday night against Anaheim.

He has skated in two of Buffalo's opening seven games this campaign. He doesn't have any fantasy value.
Oct 23 - 10:31 AM

Brian Flynn expects to play several different roles this season with the Sabres if he sticks with the team.

"I expect to be bounced around a little bit between different lines and right wing, center, even left wing," he said. "I was prepared for that coming into training camp. I've played a few positions so far but I'm used to it so it's not that big an adjustment for me anymore." He suited up in 79 games with Buffalo last season, while contributing six goals and 13 points. Flynn mostly played as a bottom-six forward and he saw time on the penalty kill. He shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.
Sep 30 - 10:17 AM

Brian Flynn sustained an lower-body injury in Saturday's game against Boston.

He was credited with one shot and three hits in 6:57 of ice time before leaving the game for good. Buffalo plays their regular season finale on Sunday against the Islanders and it wouldn't be surprising if Flynn wasn't available to play.
Apr 12 - 3:13 PM

Brian Flynn recorded an assist in Thursday's 6-1 loss to Nashville.

He has two helpers in his last three games after going 10 straight matches without a point. Flynn has notched just six goals and 13 points in 71 appearances this campaign.
Mar 28 - 8:14 AM

It was his first goal since Jan. 23, which amounts to a span of nine games. Flynn has 10 points in 57 matches this year.
Feb 27 - 9:20 AM

Brian Flynn will get a chance to play on Buffalo's top line against Colorado Saturday afternoon.

He will promoted from the fourth line and replace in for Drew Stafford, who is not ready to return to action as he is still dealing with an upper-body injury. "One thing about Flynner, he's a versatile guy," Buffalo coach Ted Nolan said. "He can go from fourth line to your top line. He's very versatile, so we could look at a possibility of putting him in there for a game or two." That said, Flynn only has eight points in 51 games so we don't see this alignment sticking.
Feb 1 - 9:54 AM

Brian Flynn registered his first point in his last 14 games in Thursday's loss to Carolina.

He scored a goal in the contest and new linemate Phil Varone, who was making his NHL debut, earned an assist on play along with Marcus Foligno. Flynn has just seven points in 47 matches this season.
Jan 24 - 6:44 AM

Brian Flynn scored Buffalo's first shorthanded goal of the year in Thursday's 4-2 win over Boston.

Brian Flynn was the lone goal scorer for Buffalo in a 2-1 loss to the Wild Monday night,

The Sabres' inability to score has been an issue for the team for the entirety of the young season and tonight was certainly no different. The goal was Flynn's first of the year, but it immediately places him in a five-way tie for second on the team, one behind Thomas Vanek. Tyler Ennis, Tyler Myers, Christian Ehrhoff and Mikhail Grigorenko all continue to seek their first point of the year.

Brian Flynn is on the bubble to make Buffalo's opening night roster.

Zemgus Girgensons and Johan Larsson can also be assigned to the minors without needing waivers, but they have both enjoyed stronger showings at training camp. Flynn recorded six goals and 11 points in 26 games last season.
Mon, Sep 30, 2013 10:09:00 AM

Despite scoring six goals and registering 11 points in 26 games with the Sabres last season, Brian Flynn is in tough to make the Sabres out of training camp.

Flynn, who got a shot at playing time in 2013 due to an avalanche of Sabre forward injuries, is in a battle to earn a roster spot. "He's in a tough spot right now in a sense fighting for positions so it'll be a big couple games for him right here", said Buffalo coach Ron Rolston. If Flynn doesn't succeed and is in fact farmed out to Rochester, it won't be for a lack of effort. The 25-year-old forward works hard on and off the ice to get the most out of his limited talent. That said, he does not have any fantasy value even if he does break camp with the Sabres.

Brian Flynn appeared in 26 games with the Sabres this past season and he feels like he belongs at the NHL level.

"I have the belief that I can play here," Flynn said. "This is where I belong. I know how hard you have to work to stay up here. It took a long time, a lot of hard work, a lot of hours to get here. This is where I really want to play. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to stay here." He led the team's rookie group with six goals, while finishing with 11 points, 49 shots and 20 blocks. Flynn could develop into a decent two-way forward, but for now he shouldn't be expected to contribute much in fantasy hockey.
