Look for Sean Collins to get out of the press box on Saturday.

Collins was a healthy scratch on Thursday, but he'll get another chance with Artem Anisimov (head) sidelined. The Blue Jackets plan to shuffle their lines, so it's not clear who Collins will play with.
Feb 23 - 10:16 AM

Derick Brassard was impressed with the play of rookie Sean Collins.

Collins made his NHL debut on a line with Brassard and R.J. Umberger Monday and battled hard. "I've never seen him play and I wasn't expecting anything," Brassard said. "I was very impressed, the way he uses his big body to protect the puck and the way he does the little details on the ice." The Blue Jackets got Cam Atkinson back on Wednesday and he will line up with Brassard and Umberger Thursday against the Red Wings so Collins could find himself in the press box or perhaps back in the minors before too long.
Feb 21 - 7:26 AM

Sean Collins made his NHL debut on the Blue Jackets top line, alongside R.J. Umberger and Derick Brassard.

Collins received great reviews after the game as he battled hard in the corners and helped his linemates get five shots apiece on goal. He had six goals and 15 points in 46 games for Springfield of the AHL so he really cannot be considered a top-six forward but it worked on Monday.
Feb 19 - 7:40 AM

Sean Collins might make his NHL debut as Brandon Dubinsky is injured and Cody Goloubef was demoted to the AHL.

He's a seventh-round pick from 2008, so it's been quite the climb. Monday would represent his first contest at the highest level, if it works out.
Feb 17 - 4:24 PM

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Sean Collins to a two-year, entry-level deal.

In his senior year with Cornell University, Collins registered 13 goals and 13 assists in 35 games. He was drafted in the seventh round in 2008 by Columbus.
