Chris Wagner is a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars.

The 24-year-old has four goals in 31 games this season. He's been scratched twice in the last five contests. Andrew Bodnarchuk and Nate Guenin will also watch the game from the press box. There isn't an ounce of fantasy value between these three players.

Chris Wagner, Nate Guenin and Andrew Bodnarchuk will each be scratched against San Jose on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of fantasy value between these three. Bodnarchuk has seen just five games between Colorado and Columbus, while Guenin and Wagner have barely registered on the stat sheet in 29 and 17 games respectively.

Chris Wagner lit the lamp for the Avalanche in their 2-1 loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

Wagner’s goal was his fourth goal (and point) of the season. When he gets into the lineup, he's not even averaging double digits in ice time, so his fantasy value is next to nothing at this point. Jarome Iginla and Chris Bigras got the assists.
Jan 16 - 9:53 PM

Coach Patrick Roy has elected to forego any lineup changes for Sunday's match with Colorado.

Which means Chris Wagner will sit out his 12th straight game with the Avalanche. It also means that both Erik Johnson and and Brad Stuart are not yet ready to return to action.
Jan 10 - 3:45 PM

Chris Wagner will be scratched from Friday's match with Nashville.

Wagner hasn't played since December 12th, a span of 11 games including tonight. With just three points, 26 PIMs, and 55 hits to his credit in 24 nearly evenly split games between Colorado and Nashville, it's easy to see why.
Jan 8 - 7:19 PM

Chris Wagner and Nate Guenin will each be scratched from Sunday's match with Arizona.

Chris Wagner and Brandon Gormley will each sit out Tuesday night's match with Chicago.

Chris Wagner will make his Avalanche debut Tuesday.

He is expected to center the third or fourth line, which will depend on the availability of John Mitchell. Mitchell is still day-to-day with an oblique injury and he didn't practice Monday. Wagner was claimed off waivers from Anaheim over the weekend.

A day after being waived by the Ducks, Chris Wagner has been claimed off waivers by the Avalanche.

The 24-year-old forward has yet to make much of an impact at the NHL level. Through 20 games he has 19 PIMs and 54 hits, and has yet to tally a point through 24 shots. Wagner will only ding the cap at $600K at the NHL level. In a related move, the Avs have retroactively to Nov. 10th placed Semyon Varlamov on I/R to make room on the roster.
