Seth Jones scored a goal in Thursday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Washington Capitals.
Jones opened the scoring just 41 seconds into the third period, but the Capitals responded by tying the game less than six minutes later. Washington eventually won the game in the shootout after Cam Atkinson, Sam Gagner and Alexander Wennberg each missed their shootout attempts. This was Jones' first goal in 20 games. He returned on November 21 and the Blue Jackets are 17-1-2 since then.
