Seth Jones averaged 30:37 in Columbus' first-round series against the Washington Capitals.
No player has averaged a higher amount of ice time in the first round in 2018. Of course, the fact that four of the Blue Jackets' six games went to overtime helped inflate Jones' ice time. He had one goal, four assists and a minus-3 rating during the series. Unfortunately for Jones and his team, they couldn't top the Capitals, so they'll be heading home early. He had a remarkable season overall. Apr 24 - 6:54 PM

It's looking like Seth Jones and Zach Werenski won't play tonight in the season finale.

Head coach John Tortorella confirmed several players would sit out of tonight's game and Aaron Portzline of The Athletic is reporting the Blue Jackets' top duo will be two of them. In their place, the Blue Jackets will have Taylor Chorney and Dean Kukan enter the lineup.

Seth Jones picked up another three assists in a 5-4 overtime win over the Detroit Red Wings.

The tree-point night gives Jones seven points in his last two games, bringing him to 57 points in 77 games and putting him in the Norris Trophy conversation. The 23-year-old blueliner has had an excellent season and has formed arguably the best duo in the NHL alongside Zach Werenski. The scary part is that both Jones and Werenski will only get better from here. Cam Atkinson (x2), Sonny Milano, Artemi Panarin and Pierre-Luc Dubois (GWG) were the goal scorers in the win.
Apr 3 - 11:09 PM

With his four points Saturday night, Seth Jones broke the Columbus franchise record for most points by a defenseman in a single season.

Jones now has 54 points, three better than James Wisniewski's 51 in 2013-14. Jones is also getting some strong Norris Trophy consideration and his teammates and head coach can't say enough good things about him. Veteran Tomas Vanek had this to say of the Jackets' defense corps and Jones specifically: "The six [guys] that are playing are great and they're anchored by 'Jonesy,' who's by far the best defenseman I've ever played with". Columbus head coach John Tortorella made the following comment about Jones: "I want someone to show me a better defender on the back end in this league than that guy. Forget about the points and his speed and how he controls the pace of the game for us. I want someone to show me, on tape, a better defender than what we have there in Seth Jones, because there's not too many." High praise indeed.
Apr 1 - 10:16 AM

Seth Jones had a goal and three assists in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

Head coach John Tortorella said before the game that he believes Seth Jones is one of the best defensemen in the NHL and Jones showed why, rallying his team from 4-1 down and picking up three assists with just under four minutes left in regulation to force overtime. Jones is now up to 16 goals and 54 points in 76 games this season. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Zach Werenski and Cam Atkinson scored in the overtime loss.
Mar 31 - 6:46 PM

Seth Jones is expected to play Saturday afternoon against the Canucks.

Jones has been in and out of the Columbus lineup due to a rib injury. As he is now one of the NHL's elite defensemen, keep him in your lineup on a daily basis and hope he can play.
Mar 31 - 10:25 AM

The injury that has Seth Jones in-and-out of the lineup, is to his ribs.

Jones has 15 goals and 50 points and managed to play a team-leading 25:44 despite the injury. He missed three games in a row before playing the last two contests but the injury is bothersome enough that he has been missing practice. Jones has been one of the top blueliners this season and deserves plenty of Norris consideration.
Mar 26 - 6:44 AM

Seth Jones has been confirmed for tonight's game against the St. Louis Blues.

Jones is battling through an upper-body issue but head coach John Tortorella has indicated he is healthy enough to play. The star blueliner probably won't practice much until the end of the season but he will be healthy enough to produce points for your fantasy squad.
Mar 24 - 5:49 PM

Seth Jones missed practice Friday due to his ongoing upper body injury.

Jones returned to action on Thursday after missing three games with the injury and scored his 15th goal of the season as well as garnering his 50th point. He will be a game-time decision Saturday so he either re-injured himself or is not completely healed. Jones deserves plenty of consideration for the Norris Trophy and his absence from the lineup would hurt the Blue Jackets.
Mar 24 - 7:56 AM

Seth Jones is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers.

Jones was considered a game-time decision because he had been dealing with an upper-body injury. He needs to be inserted in all fantasy lineups right away. Jones has 14 goals and 49 points in 71 games this season.
Mar 22 - 6:35 PM

Seth Jones (upper body) will be a game-time decision Thursday night.

Jones has missed three straight games due to an upper-body injury. He took part in the morning skate, which is encouraging.
Mar 22 - 11:09 AM

Seth Jones (upper body) will be out of the lineup again on Tuesday.

This will be Jones' third straight game on the sidelines due to an upper-body injury. He is listed as day-to-day, according to coach John Tortorella.
Mar 20 - 5:50 PM

Seth Jones (upper body) will not play on Monday night against Boston.

This will Jones' second straight game on the sidelines because of an upper-body injury. It's believed that he originally suffered the injury on Mar. 8 against Colorado, but he played in two games after that.
Mar 19 - 3:33 PM

Seth Jones will not suit up tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

The extent of the injury has yet to be confirmed but Jones was dealing with an upper-body issue earlier in the week. The Blue Jackets have decided to hold him out and Ryan Murray is expected to draw back into the lineup. Consider Jones day-to-day.
Mar 17 - 5:41 PM

Seth Jones (upper body) will be available to play Thursday against Philadelphia.

It was initially reported on Tuesday that Columbus expected Jones to play, but now coach John Tortorella has confirmed that the talented blueliner will be good to go. Jones left Monday's game as a precaution due to an upper-body injury and he didn't practice Wednesday. Still, you should feel free to keep him active.
