Nov 24 - 6:01 PM

Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) might be out for a couple games, per coach Joel Quenneville.

This might prove to be an opportunity for Andrew Desjardins, who has spent three straight games in the press box. Teravainen has four goals and nine points in 18 contests this season.
Nov 19 - 6:38 PM

Teuvo Teravainen's upper-body injury isn't believed to be serious, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

He left Wednesday's game in the second period and should be considered day-to-day for now.
Nov 19 - 9:06 AM

Teuvo Teravainen left Wednesday's game against Edmonton with a upper-body injury.

It was on play in the second period that was not noticed in the broadcast. The 21 year-old has four goals and 5 assists for nine points in 18 games this season.
Nov 18 - 11:38 PM

Teuvo Teravainen has scored a goal in each of his last two games.

He has been buzzing since being moved to a line with Patrick Kane. Teravainen posted a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to St. Louis. He has six points in 12 games.
Nov 5 - 9:11 AM

Teuvo Teravainen was on the second line during Sunday's practice.

He will likely start Monday's match against Los Angeles alongside Patrick Kane and Artem Anisimov. Teravainen got the promotion after Artemi Panarin was moved to Jonathan Toews' line because of Marian Hossa's injury.
Nov 2 - 10:56 AM

Teuvo Teravainen will be back on the third line on Friday night against the Wild.

Through nine games Teravainen has just three points, but you should remain patient with the uber talented forward. He'll skate to the left of Tanner Kero and Ryan Garbutt.
Oct 30 - 7:04 PM

Teuvo Teravainen will be scratched from Thursday's tilt with the Jets.

No word on why Teravainen is out from the lineup but we'll keep you posted. He has just three points in nine games, so it may be related to both his lack of production and that Bryan Bickell, his replacement, is better suited for the heavier Jets.
Oct 29 - 8:02 PM

Teuvo Teravainen scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Jackets.

Teravainen scored 65 seconds after teammate Artem Anisimov opened the scoring in the second period. Trevor Daley and Marian Hossa picked up the assists on the goal. Teravainen has two goals and three points in six games this season.
Oct 18 - 10:20 AM

Teuvo Teravainen doesn't feel like he played his game when he skated with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa in the first two games of the season.

"Yeah, maybe I was thinking a little too much," said Teravainen. "I just have to be myself and don't try to make too many plays. I have to hold onto the puck more and be myself more." He centered the third line on Saturday and he looked more comfortable. Teravainen had an assist and five shots in a 4-1 win over the Islanders. He'll probably get a chance on the top line again at some point and it wouldn't be surprising if he made much more of an impact.

Teuvo Teravainen doesn't appear to be clicking with linemates Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.

Teravainen scored a goal in the 'Hawks regular season opener on Wednesday, but he was yanked off the top line in favor of Andrew Shaw in Friday's game against the Islanders. Shaw didn't appear to be too comfortable on that line either, so it will be interesting to see if head coach Joel Quenneville will make more changes to his line combinations.

Teuvo Teravainen, playing on a first line with star veterans Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, scored one of the goals for the Blackhawks in their 3-2, season-opening loss to the visiting New York Rangers Wednesday night.

Teravainen's snap shot pulled the Hawks to within a goal in the second period but there would be no more scoring in this one. The Hawks are counting on significant production from Teravainen this season. The 21-year-old winger played in only 34 games for Chicago last season and wound up with four goals and five assists before pouring it on in the postseason with four goals and six assists in 18 games. Both Toews and Hossa assisted on Teravainen's goal. Teravainen can play all three forward positions but Chicago coach Joel Quenneville is hoping Teravainen can stay put on his top line. Artemi Panarin also scored for the Hawks Wednesday. Patrick Kane and Niklas Hjalmarsson assisted on that one.
Oct 7 - 11:10 PM

Teuvo Teravainen is slated to start the regular season alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.

"I'm getting more comfortable every day, every week," said Teravainen, who has played all three forward positions since coming into the NHL. "I've been around a little bit. It's getting easier, for sure." Coach Joel Quenneville is known for shaking up his lines frequently, but he's hoping that Teravainen can stay on the top unit.
Oct 5 - 6:16 PM

Hawks head coach Joel Quenneville said he envisions Teuvo Teravainen playing center next season.

Artem Anisimov likely has the inside track to center the Hawks' second line, pushing Teravainen down to the third line. It would be a huge boost to Teravainen's fantasy value if he could beat out Anisimov for the second line spot next to Patrick Kane, but we won't know that until training camp.
