Carolina GM Ron Francis is excited to have Teuvo Teravainen join the Hurricanes.
"It's not often a player who was a first-round draft pick like Teuvo, at his age and with his skill, becomes available in a deal," said Francis. "We think he will be a very good addition, skill-wise, to our team. He has a lot of upside." Teravainen should be expected to skate on one of Carolina's top-two lines in 2016-17. Jun 15 - 3:56 PM

Teuvo Teravainen didn't participate in Monday's morning skate, but he is still expected to play in Game 7 versus St. Louis, according to a source.

He reportedly didn't skate because he was receiving some minor treatment. Tomas Fleischmann was on the second line during the session, but he'll probably get bumped down with Teravainen projected to play.

Teuvo Teravainen filled in for Artem Anisimov on Chicago's second line Sunday against Vancouver.

Anisimov missed the game due to a lower-body injury, so Teravainen was slotted between Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin. Teravainen scored his 13th goal of the season in a 3-2 win. Anisimov isn't expected to be sidelined for long, so this promotion could be short-lived, but it will give him a boost for however long it lasts.

Teuvo Teravainen (illness) is on the ice warming up for Friday's match with the Jets.

If he's healthy enough to take warm-ups, then he's nearly guaranteed to be healthy enough to play as well. Teravainen was seen centering Tomas Fleischmann and Dale Weise on the team's third line.

Teuvo Teravianen and Tomas Fleischmann have developed some chemistry on the Blackhawks' third line.

Teravianen has registered five points in his last six games alongside Fleischmann and seems to be settling in at his natural position of center after moving around as a winger. Keep an eye on the talented 19-year-old for the rest of the campaign. Teravianen is a solid keeper target for next season.

Mar 13 - 10:58 AM

Teuvo Teravainen has played on different lines and he's logged time at all three forward positions, but he should play the rest of the season as Chicago's third-line center.

The Blackhawks added Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann in a trade with Montreal and they are likely to flank Teravainen. Andrew Shaw may be an option as well once Marian Hossa returns to action, which would probably bump down Fleischmann. Teravainen looked comfortable in Sunday's game against Washington. He registered four shots and added an assist on the power play in a 3-2 victory.
Mar 1 - 11:46 AM

Teuvo Teravainen contributed two assists in a 5-3 win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

He assisted on goals by Andrew Desjardins and Andrew Shaw (power play) in the Blackhawks' victory. Teravainen has three points in the past two games, which gives him 10 goals and 15 helpers on the year.
