Teuvo Teravainen doesn't appear to be clicking with linemates Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.
Teravainen scored a goal in the 'Hawks regular season opener on Wednesday, but he was yanked off the top line in favor of Andrew Shaw in Friday's game against the Islanders. Shaw didn't appear to be too comfortable on that line either, so it will be interesting to see if head coach Joel Quenneville will make more changes to his line combinations. Oct 10 - 8:55 AM

Teuvo Teravainen, playing on a first line with star veterans Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, scored one of the goals for the Blackhawks in their 3-2, season-opening loss to the visiting New York Rangers Wednesday night.

Teravainen's snap shot pulled the Hawks to within a goal in the second period but there would be no more scoring in this one. The Hawks are counting on significant production from Teravainen this season. The 21-year-old winger played in only 34 games for Chicago last season and wound up with four goals and five assists before pouring it on in the postseason with four goals and six assists in 18 games. Both Toews and Hossa assisted on Teravainen's goal. Teravainen can play all three forward positions but Chicago coach Joel Quenneville is hoping Teravainen can stay put on his top line. Artemi Panarin also scored for the Hawks Wednesday. Patrick Kane and Niklas Hjalmarsson assisted on that one.
Oct 7 - 11:10 PM

Teuvo Teravainen is slated to start the regular season alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.

"I'm getting more comfortable every day, every week," said Teravainen, who has played all three forward positions since coming into the NHL. "I've been around a little bit. It's getting easier, for sure." Coach Joel Quenneville is known for shaking up his lines frequently, but he's hoping that Teravainen can stay on the top unit.
Oct 5 - 6:16 PM

Hawks head coach Joel Quenneville said he envisions Teuvo Teravainen playing center next season.

Artem Anisimov likely has the inside track to center the Hawks' second line, pushing Teravainen down to the third line. It would be a huge boost to Teravainen's fantasy value if he could beat out Anisimov for the second line spot next to Patrick Kane, but we won't know that until training camp.

Along with a trio of others, Teuvo Teravainen led all scorers in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.

Just four points were needed to top the scoring table in 2015's Cup Final. Thus was accomplished by Teravainen and Marian Hossa for Chicago, and Ryan Callahan and Victor Hedman for Tampa Bay during their six-game series. Teravainen also tied teammates Brandon Saad and Antoine Vermette, plus Cedric Paquette and Alex Killorn with a pair of goals to lead in that category as well in the series. Not too shabby for a 20-year-old rookie on top of his first Stanley Cup victory.
Jun 16 - 2:01 AM

Teuvo Teravainen has produced as many points in the playoffs as he did during the regular season.

He has generated four goals and five assists in 14 playoff contests after he posted those same totals in 34 outings during the regular season. Teravainen has become an excellent story for the Blackhawks because he's registered six points (three goals, three assists) in six games since he was a healthy scratch in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Anaheim Ducks.
Jun 8 - 10:39 AM

Hawks head coach Joel Quenneville has been impressed with Teuvo Teravainen's play of late.

"He can see plays, makes plays. You like his patience level when he does have the puck. I think he did settle down in a couple tight situations," said Quenneville. "I think he’s starting to think shot, which is really going to enhance his game and his scoring as well. I think offensively he’s getting a little bit more comfortable with the puck. I think off of that, it should enhance his game."
Jun 7 - 5:44 PM

Teuvo Teravainen popped the tying goal and set up the eventual winner in Wednesday's 2-1 Game 1 Stanley Cup Final win.

Teravainen had just one shot on goal, but he made it count has he found a seam past Ben Bishop to tie the game with just 6:32 to go. Just 1:58 later, Teravianen stripped Tampa Bay's JT Brown one-handed to set up Antoine Vermette's winner. Teravianen now has three goals and eight points through 13 postseason games.

May 26 - 11:01 AM

May 23 - 12:18 PM

Teuvo Teravainen had excellent timing for his first career NHL playoff goal, tallying what proved to be the game-winner in Chicago's 4-3 Game One win over Minnesota.

Teravainen picked off a Minnesota clearing attempt along the left wall by the top of the circle and without hesitation, through a quick wrister to the far post and in. It was a beauty of a play, if only for his situational awareness.
May 2 - 1:39 AM

Teuvo Teravainen hopes to stay on a line with Patrick Sharp and Antoine Vermette when the second round starts against Minnesota on Friday night.

"I think we have a pretty good combination there," Teravainen said. "We have some speed. We can shoot the puck. Really smart guys. If we play together, it's going to be good." He played in the first two games of the opening round, but was a healthy scratch for the rest of the series after a lackluster Game 2. The 20-year-old forward is learning on the fly and he feels he's already gained some valuable experience.
