Matt Dumba could be a candidate to be traded soon.
Dumba will be a restricted free agent July 1, and the Wild may want to make room for defenders like Mike Rielly, Christian Folin and Gustav Oloffson. The expansion draft could force some difficult decisions regarding which players to protect, so teams could look to unload some talent to get something in return. Jun 20 - 11:00 PM

Matt Dumba was limited to just 9:29 of ice time in Game 3, but it wasn't because coach John Torchetti was unhappy with his performance.

He posted a plus-2 rating and one assist in Minnesota's 5-3 victory over Dallas. "Comes with matchups," Torchetti explained. "If they're double shifting [Jamie] Benn, if they go Benn's line and then go third line and then come back with [Jason] Spezza's line, then we're going to come back with our top two guys, so if they're going 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, and if that matchup's not there, we're going to come down to our matchup. So it usually comes down to matchups."
