The 21-year-old has been a bit spotty in his first 12 games of the season, with just four points so far. He will need to step it up a notch to be a fantasy worthy player in 2015-16. Nov 5 - 11:47 PM

Matt Dumba has been limited to under 13 minutes of playing time in each of his last two games.

He hasn't been seeing much time the power play for the last six games, which has cut into his ice time. "He's showing some signs, but this is not going to be something that's just going to happen overnight," said coach Mike Yeo. The Wild want to get Dumba back to the player he was at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Matt Dumba scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 3-0 win over Anaheim.

Coach Mike Yeo is trying to get Matt Dumba back to the form he displayed in the second half of the 2014-15 season.

"We know what he's capable of," said Yeo. "We saw it last year, but it's sort of getting back to that mentality of being solid first and looking for opportunities to jump." The Wild coaching staff has been holding video tutorials with the young defender to try to get him back on track. Dumba has one assist and a minus-2 rating in five games this season.
Oct 20 - 3:48 PM

The Minnesota Wild beat the Winnipeg Jets 8-1 on Sunday and Wild defenseman Matt Dumba led the way with two goals and two assists.

On top of scoring four points, Dumba was also a plus-6 in this contest. He is slated to start the year on the third pairing with Mike Reilly but can move up with more performances like these. The former seventh overall pick has loads of potential and is someone to keep an eye on as training camp comes to an end.
Sep 27 - 8:58 PM

Matt Dumba scored a goal in Minnesota's 4-1 loss to Chicago on Sunday night.

The Wild were trailing 2-0 when Dumba scored a power play goal to cut the Chicago lead to one in the third period. Unfortunately for Minnesota, that's as close as they would get. Ryan Suter and goaltender Devan Dubnyk picked up the assists on Dumba's goal. The Wild now trail 2-0 in the series, but they won't be in real danger until they lose a game on home ice.
May 3 - 11:26 PM

Apr 17 - 1:36 AM

Matt Dumba will make his NHL playoff debut Thursday at St. Louis.

"I had a conversation with him yesterday (to say) the game doesn't change," said coach Mike Yeo. "There's definitely more intensity and there's definitely more emotion and that's the big thing. As far as his game, he should have the same approach, the same preparation going into the game. His play without the puck I've been real pleased with. He has to make sure he has a strong focus on that." He averaged 15 minutes of ice time per game with the Wild during the regular season and he recorded 16 points in 58 contests.
Apr 16 - 4:31 PM

Matt Dumba had a hand in both Wild goals against the Rangers on Thursday night, but New York escaped with a 3-2 victory.

Matt Dumba has taken advantage of his larger role and he's been playing his best hockey lately.

He has been averaging roughly 19 minutes per game over his past 11 appearances, while posting a plus-13 rating, four goals and 24 shots. "My confidence is really good right now," Dumba said. Mar 10 - 11:26 AM

Matt Dumba scored both Minnesota goals in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout victory over Ottawa.
