Radek Faksa will play on a line with Jason Spezza and Ales Hemsky on Monday night.

Faksa is getting an opportunity to play with two proven veterans. The 21-year-old has no points in seven games this season, but his promotion to the second line could give him the spark he needs to start producing. He was the 13th overall pick in the 2012 draft. Keep your eye on him, as he could be a good fantasy option in the near future.
Nov 2 - 6:19 PM

Radek Faksa has been skating on the fourth line in his first four NHL games.

However, that is not where he sees himself playing in the future. "I want to be a good player in the offensive zone and defensive zone, be a 200-foot player," Faksa said. "I want to play power play and penalty kill, too. I want to be the type of player the coach can use me everywhere." The 13th overall pick in the 2012 draft is still waiting to post his first NHL point.

Stars coach Lindy Ruff liked what he saw from rookie Radek Faksa.

"I thought he played very well," Ruff said. "He had a chance to score in his first shift, just didn't quite get it all on the cross-ice pass. But I loved the way he played. I loved the way he competed. He didn't look nervous to me. For a first NHL ame, I thought he did a heck of a job." The 21-year-old had one shot on goal in 11:38 of ice time against Florida.
Oct 18 - 10:45 AM

Radek Faksa will make his NHL debut Saturday night against Florida.

The 13th overall pick in 2012 has just 16 points in 40 career AHL games since 2012. Still just 21-years-old, he walks into a prime opportunity centering Antoine Roussel and Colton Sceviour on the fourth line.
Oct 17 - 6:39 PM

Radek Faksa has been called up by the Dallas Stars.

He potted two goals in his first game with Texas of the AHL this season. Faksa was brought up after the Stars made the move to put Curtis McKenzie on injured reserve official. Faksa may get a chance to make his NHL debut during his call up.
Oct 16 - 6:27 PM

Radek Faksa picked up an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Faksa picked up the only assist on Travis Moen's second period goal. The 21-year-old has had some difficult stints in the AHL in the last two years. He only managed to score four goals and 10 points in 32 games with the Texas Stars in 2014-15. The Stars will probably want him to be more of a factor on the farm before they let him become a full-time NHLer. Faksa is still young and can still develop into the player Dallas hoped he'd be after they drafted him in the first round of the 2012 Draft.
Sep 27 - 10:54 PM

Radek Faksa will finish the 2013-14 campaign with the AHL's Texas Stars.

Dallas assigned him to their minor-league affiliate on Wednesday. Faksa, who the Stars took with the 13th overall pick in the 2012 draft, recorded 21 goals and 48 points in 59 OHL games with the Kitchener Rangers and Sudbury Wolves this past season.

Radek Faksa has been returned to his junior team, the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL.

He wasn't expected to make it to the NHL this campaign, so the move shouldn't surprise anyone. Dallas also assigned Hubert Labrie, Ryan Button, Curtis McKenzie and Taylor Peters to AHL Texas, while releasing Etienne Boutet, Justin Dowling, Mike Hedden, Brock Montgomery and Brendan Ranford from their tryout deals.

Radek Faksa is expected to play for the OHL Kitchener Rangers next season.

"He’ll spend the summer here with us (training), go to Traverse City (for the NHL Prospects Tournament), go to training camp and then go back to Kitchener, which is good because that’s where he should be," said Stars assistant GM Les Jackson. "He’s going to get a lot of ice there, he and the coach have a good relationship and I suspect he will take a big step next year." In other words, Faksa doesn't have a serious shot of making the Stars' opening game roster. Faksa had nine goals and 31 points in 39 OHL contests last season.
