Radek Faksa recorded his third goal of the postseason on Thursday during a 3-2 overtime win in Game 4 versus St. Louis.

He got Dallas on the board in the second period and tied the game at 1-1 after he converted a turnover by Blues defenseman Joel Edmundson. Faksa has collected five points in 10 playoff games after recording 12 points over 45 contests during the regular season.

Radek Faksa scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-1 win over the Blues in Game 1.

Faksa also picked up the primary assist on Antoine Roussel's opening goal in the second period. Faksa potted him the go-ahead goal with just under five minutes remaining in regulation. The 22-year-old has two goals and four points in seven postseason games this year. The Stars now lead the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game 2 goes Sunday afternoon in Dallas.

Radek Faksa played well for the Stars down the stretch and that has continued to be the case in the playoffs.

"He was big," coach Lindy Ruff said. "We'd been trying to get him all the experience we could get him this past couple of months, and he's really played well for us. We tried to keep everything as normal as possible and I just wanted to continue to play him and use him as I had been. He's been playing a big role for us in Tyler (Seguin)'s absence." Faksa contributed a goal and an assist in Round 1 against Minnesota. The Stars credit their depth with getting them this far and Faksa has meshed well with Antoine Roussel and Ales Hemsky.

Less than four minutes into the second period and there it was, personal history for the 22-year-old who has quickly become someone coach Lindy Ruff relies on in all situations. The Stars would go on to take the match 4-0.

Radek Faksa collected two assists in a 4-2 win against Colorado on Thursday night.

He has accounted for three goals and five points in the last five games. The 13th overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft has stepped up for the Stars down the stretch.

Radek Faksa found the back of the net in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.

Faksa finally got the Stars on the board with just under 1:30 remaining in the third period. Unfortunately for the Stars, that's as close as they would come to tying the game. Faksa has five goals and 10 points in 43 games this season. Jason Spezza picked up the only assist on Faksa's goal.

Lindy Ruff was pleased with his young players' performance in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Islanders.

Ruff spoke specifically about Stephen Johns and Radek Faksa. "I thought our young guys played a heck of a game," Ruff said. "They had energy, they had physicality. Faksa went head-to-head with [Frans] Nielsen and [Kyle] Okposo, and so did Johns. Okposo is a strong player and creates his own chances, and I thought those guys did an excellent job for us tonight."

Faksa has posted just six points in 32 games with Dallas in his young career. Which contrasts strongly with the 26 points in 28 games he's posted with AHL Texas. Sooner or later, the youngster will put it together.

The 22-year-old has no points in four games since being recalled from the minors on Feb. 5. Jyrki Jokipakka and Jamie Oleksiak are expected to be the scratches on defense.

This move corresponds with Dallas placing Jason Spezza on the injured reserve list for an upper-body issue. Faksa has a goal and three points in 18 games with Dallas in 2015-16. The 22-year-old does have some offensive upside though, as demonstrated by his 26 points in 28 AHL contests.

Faksa has but three points through 18 games up with the big boys this season. But he has nine goals and 13 points in 19 games down on the farm, indicating theirs much talent to be excited about down the pike.

Faksa has but three points, eight PIMs, 10 blocks, and 17 hits in his 16 games so far this season. Which is not nearly as valuable as the 13 points in 19 games for AHL Texas he posted earlier in the season.

Faksa was recalled from the minors yesterday. The 21-year-old has one goal and two points in 14 games this season. Jamie Oleksiak and Patrik Nemeth will also watch from the press box.
