Oscar Dansk (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve by Vegas.

Dansk is the third goaltender the Golden Knights have been forced to place on injured reserve through the first 10 games of the franchise. He suffered a lower-body injury in Monday's loss to the Islanders.

The injury Oscar Dansk sustained during Monday's game is a lower-body issue.

For now that's about all we know of Dansk's status. Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant wasn't sure how serious the injury was immediately following the game. Vegas was already missing Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Malcolm Subban (lower body) so to lose Dansk on top of that is incredibly bad luck. Maxime Lagace is now Vegas' de facto starting goaltender, but perhaps the Golden Knights will seek to acquire a netminder.

Oscar Dansk suffered an injury in Monday's game against the New York Islanders.

This Golden Knights' have been remarkably unlucky when it comes to the health of their goaltenders in their first season. Starting goalie Marc-Andre Fleury remains out and so does backup Malcolm Subban. Maxime Lagace, who has never played in an NHL game, is now between the pipes for Vegas. We'll provide an update on Dansk's injury as soon as the Golden Knights make one available. Earlier today, Dansk was named the second star of the week in the NHL.

Oscar Dansk is expected to start for the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night against the New York Islanders.

Fresh off being named the NHL's second star of the week, he is slated to make his third straight start. Dansk may have his hands full with an Islanders team that's won four out of its last five, while scoring four goals or more in each of their last four outings.

Oscar Dansk claimed the NHL's second star of the week.

Dansk posted a 2-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals-against average, a .968 save percentage and one shutout for the week ending Oct. 29. He was the first goaltender to earn a goose egg in franchise history for the Golden Knights.

Oscar Dansk is expected to get the start in goal for Vegas on Monday.

The Golden Knights are headed to the East Coast for the first time in their existence and Dansk is the likely starter with Maxime Lagace as his backup. The Knights still have Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban on the injured list but Dansk has been superb with a 3-0-0 mark to go with a 1.35 GAA and a .959 save percentage. Those numbers will go down significantly on their six game journey to the East.

Oscar Dansk turned aside all 32 shots he faced in Friday's 7-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Dansk came into the season as the Golden Knights' third string goalie, but he's been terrific since taking over for Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban. He now owns a perfect 3-0-0 record with a 1.35 goals-against-average and a .959 save percentage this season. He might be worth a short-term add in standard fantasy leagues, but he won't be able to keep this up.

Oscar Dansk will get the start in Friday's game against Colorado.

He has a 2-0-0 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage this season.

Oscar Dansk allowed two goals on 31 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win against the Blackhawks as he recorded his second NHL win, first as a starter.

The expansion Golden Knights continue to roll along, improving to 7-1. Dansk is now 2-0 after picking up a win in his first NHL appearance in relief. The Knights have used three goalies through eight games, but adversity hasn't affected this team. This hasn't been your typical expansion team in the early going.

Oscar Dansk will start Tuesday's game against Chicago.

Dansk will be the third goalie to start for the Golden Knights in the team's inaugural season because Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban are out with injuries. It will also be his first NHL start after he made his debut against St. Louis on Saturday in a relief appearance. Dansk stopped 10 of 11 shots in 13:36 of action and picked up the victory.

Oscar Dansk could be in line for his first NHL start Tuesday against Chicago.

Vegas has their top two goaltenders, Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Malcolm Subban (lower body) out due to injuries. "Injuries provide opportunities for others and that is the situation we have here," said GM George McPhee. "Our top two goaltenders are currently sidelined so we will now give our AHL goalies the chance to play in their absence. We felt Oscar Dansk performed well in relief on Saturday in his NHL debut." The Golden Knights will probably bring up Maxime Lagace to serve as the backup.

Oscar Dansk was forced into action after Malcolm Subban had to leave the game with a suspected lower-body injury in a 3-2 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues.

Dansk is a former 2nd round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets but hasn't been able to establish himself at the NHL level. Tonight marked his first ever NHL appearance, allowing one goal on 11 shots. If the Golden Knights were to be without both Fleury and Subban for an extended period, Dansk would be thrust into the starting lineup. He is not worth picking up in any formats.

The Vegas Golden Knights recalled Oscar Dansk from the AHL.

The 23-year-old has made just one start in the AHL this season. He gave up six goals during that lone appearance. In a corresponding move, Vegas sent goalie Maxim Lagace back to the minors.

Oscar Dansk stood out during the Golden Knights' scrimmage on Friday.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Dansk made several fine saves throughout the game. Dansk comes into the season as the third goalie on the depth chart behind Marc-Andre Fleury and Calvin Pickard, so he has to stand out during the preseason to make the team. "It’s only the first day, and my goal is to have a long training camp," Dansk said. "So, I’m taking it one day at a time, and just coming here, I’m going to work my butt off and do my best."
