Oscar Dansk is with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an emergency netminder.

Sergei Bobrovsky and Joonas Korpisalo are expected to be fine for Wednesday night, so Dansk appears to be with the team as a third option. Dansk posted a 3.00 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage in 24 games with Rogle BK of the SHL in 2016-17.

Columbus made the loan of Oscar Dansk to Rogle BK official on Thursday.

He will play for Rogle BK in the Swedish Hockey League. Danks registered a 7-7-5 record with a 3.57 goals-against average and an .880 save percentage in 21 appearances with the AHL's Springfield Falcons last season.

Oscar Dansk will be heading to Sweden to get his career back on track.

Dansk's first pro experience in North America was far from a success. The 21-year-old split time in the AHL and ECHL. He posted goals-against-averages of over 3.50 for both the Springfield Falcons and Kalamazoo Wings. "I got away from my game a little bit because I felt like I wasn’t playing really well, so (I) tried to find a solution," Dansk said. "I maybe should have just built on my game and made it stronger. I got away from my game, which probably hurt me in the long run."

Oscar Dansk will play in Sweden next season.

Dansk made the decision after struggling in the AHL and ECHL in the 2014-15 campaign. It was his first professional season in North America after moving on from the OHL Erie Otters, so there was a chance he would have found his footing in 2015-16 had he stayed within the Blue Jackets' system. He was taken with the 31st overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have sent goaltender Oscar Dansk to the minors.

Dansk was recalled on Wednesday and backed up Curtis McElhinney on Thursday but was sent back to Springfield of the AHL when the team activated Sergei Bobrovsky from the injured list. Dansk is 7-5-5 this season in the AHL with a 3.46 GAA and a .883 save percentage. The Blue Jackets are high on Dansk but it was not a good birthday gift as he turned 21 on Saturday.

With Oscar Dansk's promotion to the NHL, he'll be the one to backup current starter Curtis McElhinney.

The 20 year old Dansk has a 7-5-5 record with 59 goals against in 19 games with AHL Springfield through is first professional season.

Columbus has brought up goalie Oscar Dansk.

Dansk was a second-round pick (31st overall) of the Jackets in the 2012 draft. He hasn't posted very good numbers in the AHL and ECHL this season during his first season of pro hockey.

Oscar Dansk stepped up in the 2014 Traverse City rookie tournament.

Dansk had a 2.40 GAA and .925 save percentage to help Columbus win the tournament. We don't want to read too much into prospect games, but it's still a positive for him after he struggled in this tournament last year.

Oscar Dansk was outstanding as he turned aside 31 shots in a 5-3 Columbus win over Detroit at Traverse City.

The Blue Jackets are quite high on Dansk who was the first pick of the second round in the 2012 Draft but many thought he was the top goalie available. Dansk came across the pond from Sweden last season and played 42 games with Erie of the OHL where he was 29-9-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Look for the 20-year-old to get his feet wet as a professional this season in the minors.

Columbus has reached a three-year, entry-level contract with Oscar Dansk.

In 42 games this past season with the OHL's Erie Otters, he posted a 29-9-1 record to go with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. Dansk was chosen in the second round (31st overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Blue Jackets.

Oscar Dansk made 26 saves in a 2-1 win over Russia to get Sweden into the gold-medal game of the World Junior Championship.

Nashville's Filip Forsberg and Pittsburgh prospect Oskar Sundqvist scored for the Swedes in the victory. Forsberg leads the team with 12 points in six contests.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have sent goaltender Oscar Dansk back to the Erie Otters of the OHL.

It's no surprise as Dansk needs plenty of playing time. He was selected with the first pick of the second round in the 2012 Draft and the Blue Jackets are looking at him as their goalie of the future. He struggled last season with a 4.11 GAA and a .888 save percentage but it was his first year in North America after coming over from Sweden so he gets a mulligan.

Oscar Dansk kicked out 21 of 23 shots as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the New York Rangers at the NHL Prospects Tournament Sunday.

Dansk was very spotty in the first two games of the tournament as he managed to give up eight goals on only 40 shots. The Swedish netminder played with the Erie Otters of the AHL last season but struggled with a 4.11 GAA and a .888 save percentage. He was drafted with the first pick of the second round in 2012 and many scouts thought he was the best goalie available despite being the third netminder taken, behind Andrei Vasilevski (Tampa Bay) and Malcolm Subban (Boston). But he was much better in leading the Blue Jackets to the win on Sunday. He is still highly regarded but with Sergei Bobrovsky ahead of him in Columbus, it may be a few years until Dansk is in a Columbus uniform during a regular season game.

Oscar Dansk hopes his rough 2012-13 campaign with the OHL Erie Otters will help him going forward.

Dansk had a 4.11 GAA and .888 save percentage in 43 games after being taken with the 31st overall pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2012. "It was motivation, for sure, all of that," Dansk said of last season's struggles. "I really got into working out quickly after the season ended. I had a lot of thinking time, too. I have a positive outlook this season. I think we're going to be a better team. We have an older group, a group that's been together."
