Oscar Dansk could be in line for his first NHL start Tuesday against Chicago.
Vegas has their top two goaltenders, Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Malcolm Subban (lower body) out due to injuries. "Injuries provide opportunities for others and that is the situation we have here," said GM George McPhee. "Our top two goaltenders are currently sidelined so we will now give our AHL goalies the chance to play in their absence. We felt Oscar Dansk performed well in relief on Saturday in his NHL debut." The Golden Knights will probably bring up Maxime Lagace to serve as the backup. Oct 22 - 6:52 PM

Oscar Dansk was forced into action after Malcolm Subban had to leave the game with a suspected lower-body injury in a 3-2 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues.

Dansk is a former 2nd round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets but hasn't been able to establish himself at the NHL level. Tonight marked his first ever NHL appearance, allowing one goal on 11 shots. If the Golden Knights were to be without both Fleury and Subban for an extended period, Dansk would be thrust into the starting lineup. He is not worth picking up in any formats.

The Vegas Golden Knights recalled Oscar Dansk from the AHL.

The 23-year-old has made just one start in the AHL this season. He gave up six goals during that lone appearance. In a corresponding move, Vegas sent goalie Maxim Lagace back to the minors.

Oscar Dansk stood out during the Golden Knights' scrimmage on Friday.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Dansk made several fine saves throughout the game. Dansk comes into the season as the third goalie on the depth chart behind Marc-Andre Fleury and Calvin Pickard, so he has to stand out during the preseason to make the team. "It’s only the first day, and my goal is to have a long training camp," Dansk said. "So, I’m taking it one day at a time, and just coming here, I’m going to work my butt off and do my best."

Oscar Dansk has inked a one-year, $650,000 contract with the Vegas Golden Knight.

Dansk had a 3.00 GAA and .903 save percentage in 24 Swedish league games in 2016-17. He's projected to start next season in the AHL.

Oscar Dansk has been assigned to Cleveland of the AHL.

He was acting as Columbus' third goaltender, but Anton Forsberg will take over that role.
Apr 15 - 11:24 AM

Oscar Dansk is with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an emergency netminder.

Sergei Bobrovsky and Joonas Korpisalo are expected to be fine for Wednesday night, so Dansk appears to be with the team as a third option. Dansk posted a 3.00 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage in 24 games with Rogle BK of the SHL in 2016-17.
Apr 11 - 2:52 PM

Columbus made the loan of Oscar Dansk to Rogle BK official on Thursday.

He will play for Rogle BK in the Swedish Hockey League. Danks registered a 7-7-5 record with a 3.57 goals-against average and an .880 save percentage in 21 appearances with the AHL's Springfield Falcons last season.

Oscar Dansk will be heading to Sweden to get his career back on track.

Dansk's first pro experience in North America was far from a success. The 21-year-old split time in the AHL and ECHL. He posted goals-against-averages of over 3.50 for both the Springfield Falcons and Kalamazoo Wings. "I got away from my game a little bit because I felt like I wasn’t playing really well, so (I) tried to find a solution," Dansk said. "I maybe should have just built on my game and made it stronger. I got away from my game, which probably hurt me in the long run."

Oscar Dansk will play in Sweden next season.

Dansk made the decision after struggling in the AHL and ECHL in the 2014-15 campaign. It was his first professional season in North America after moving on from the OHL Erie Otters, so there was a chance he would have found his footing in 2015-16 had he stayed within the Blue Jackets' system. He was taken with the 31st overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have sent goaltender Oscar Dansk to the minors.

Dansk was recalled on Wednesday and backed up Curtis McElhinney on Thursday but was sent back to Springfield of the AHL when the team activated Sergei Bobrovsky from the injured list. Dansk is 7-5-5 this season in the AHL with a 3.46 GAA and a .883 save percentage. The Blue Jackets are high on Dansk but it was not a good birthday gift as he turned 21 on Saturday.

Columbus has brought up goalie Oscar Dansk.

Dansk was a second-round pick (31st overall) of the Jackets in the 2012 draft. He hasn't posted very good numbers in the AHL and ECHL this season during his first season of pro hockey.

Oscar Dansk stepped up in the 2014 Traverse City rookie tournament.

Dansk had a 2.40 GAA and .925 save percentage to help Columbus win the tournament. We don't want to read too much into prospect games, but it's still a positive for him after he struggled in this tournament last year.
Wed, Sep 17, 2014 07:56:00 AM

Oscar Dansk was outstanding as he turned aside 31 shots in a 5-3 Columbus win over Detroit at Traverse City.

The Blue Jackets are quite high on Dansk who was the first pick of the second round in the 2012 Draft but many thought he was the top goalie available. Dansk came across the pond from Sweden last season and played 42 games with Erie of the OHL where he was 29-9-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Look for the 20-year-old to get his feet wet as a professional this season in the minors.
