Winnipeg prospect Scott Kosmachuk isn't worried that he hasn't scored in his last seven games.

He recorded 10 goals in 10 games in October, so he understands that it's only a matter of time before the puck starts bouncing his way again. Kosmachuk has picked up 12 goals and 12 assists in 24 games this season with the Guelph Storm of the OHL. He was a third-round pick of the Jets in the 2012 draft and ex-player NHL player turned coach Scott Walker believes he has what it takes to be a success at the pro level.

The Winnipeg Jets took Scott Kosmachuk with the 70th overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Kosmachuk is one of the tougher prospects out of the OHL this year. While not physically intimidating, he likes getting under the skin of his opponents. He recorded 110 penalty minutes this season, a testament to his aggressive play. Surprisingly, he has a ton of offensive skill, scoring 30 goals in 67 games for Guelph. He has good hands around the net and holds a blistering slap shot. He did have some consistency problems this year, which will need to be addressed as he progresses. There are also some concerns with his carelessness in the defensive zone. Still, he's a nice player to be able to grab in the third round.
