Tanner Pearson (ankle) will not return before the end of the regular season.
Pearson will have another X-Ray on Tuesday. Of course, by then we'll be looking forward to the playoffs and at the moment the Kings odds of making it that far aren't great. He'll finish with 12 goals and 16 points in 42 contests. Apr 8 - 6:29 PM

Tanner Pearson (ankle) resumed light skating about a month ago and he participated in a full practice March 22.

However, he doubts that he will be back in the Kings' lineup until at least the playoffs. "I'm hoping for playoffs, for sure, but I think the [regular] season's very optimistic right now. But we’ll go day-by-day, as we've been doing for how long it's been, and hopefully we get improvement." He was hurt in a collision with the end boards following a hit from Winnipeg’s Jay Harrison back in January and he was expected to be sidelined for three-plus months. In 42 games this season, Pearson has 12 goals, 16 points and a plus-14 rating.

Tanner Pearson, who is dealing with a left fibula injury, inked a two-year, $2.8 million contract extension on Thursday.

Pearson was scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer. He has 12 goals and 16 points in 42 contests in 2014-15. He's been unavailable since Jan. 10 and he might not return before the end of the regular season.

Tanner Pearson (left fibula) participated in Wednesday's optional skate.

Pearson thinks he's getting pretty close to returning. However, he probably won't return before the end of the Kings' road trip, which means he'll miss at least three more games. He has 12 goals and 16 points in 42 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 25 - 6:44 PM

Tanner Pearson (ankle) took part in the Kings' morning skate on Sunday.

That was a step up for Pearson, who had previously been skating on his own. "It felt pretty good," Pearson said. "They had a couple in and outs and felt good to be on the ice again. It's been a long road and hopefully we'll get it going here soon, but I still have to get back into that game shape-type of stuff." Pearson wasn't able to full participate in all of the drills, but he expects to "ramp it up" this week as far as his recovery goes.

Tanner Pearson (ankle) has been skating every other day.

He didn't take to the ice on Wednesday. It's expected that he will skate more regularly soon, as he attempts to return to the lineup before the end of the regular season.

The Los Angeles Kings and Tanner Pearson are talking about a new contract.

Pearson can become an RFA at the end of the season so the Kings have started the process of re-signing him at this time. Pearson has been out since January 10 with a broken ankle but has started skating every second day. He should start practicing with the team in the near future. Pearson has 12 goals and 16 points in 42 games this season.

Tanner Pearson (broken ankle) may be able to return before the end of the regular season.

When the injury occurred on January 10, it was thought that the first round of the playoffs might be the return date but he is apparently healing a bit faster than first thought. He had 12 goals and four assists in 42 games before the injury.
Mar 1 - 7:14 AM

Tanner Pearson (broken ankle) no longer is using crutches.

There is no timetable at this time for Pearson's return as he broke his ankle on January 10, but this is obviously a good first step. "Making progress, taking it day by day," Pearson said. "Just walking, you get moving again. It takes time. It’s nice because you can see improvements. That’s a good thing. Things are looking positive. Honestly, I have no idea (about returning to the lineup). It’s tough to say." Stay tuned.

Tanner Pearson (fibula) might not be available for the start of the first round, should the Kings qualify.

"Basically, after the injury, we just looked at it like he was done for the year," Kings coach Darryl Sutter said. Keep that in mind if you've been holding onto Pearson. If you're in a single season league, then you should be exploring your alternatives.

Tanner Pearson underwent surgery for a fractured left fibula on Tuesday.

Pearson might be gone for the next three months, which means there's no guarantee that he'll play before the end of the regular season. He has 12 goals and 16 points in 42 contests this season.

Tanner Pearson will need to undergo surgery on his fractured left fibula.

The Los Angeles Kings have placed Tanner Pearson on injured reserve.

Pearson suffered a fractured left fibula in Saturday's game against the Winnipeg Jets. The young forward has 12 goals and 16 points in 42 games for the Kings this season. The Kings will certainly look to make a move of some sort, as Tyler Toffoli will also miss some time with mono.
Jan 11 - 3:55 PM

Tanner Pearson broke a bone in his lower leg Saturday night against the Jets, according to Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider.

Pearson went hard into the boards legs-first in the second period and couldn’t put any weight on his leg. He played 8:58 in the 5-4 loss. The Kings’ depth will really be tested now as Tyler Toffoli is out indefinitely because of mono. Pearson has 16 points in 42 games.
