Pearson now has five goals and seven points in six games. Combined with his linemates Tyler Toffoli and Jeff Carter, the trio has accounted for 11 of the Kings' 15 goals so far this season. That trend can't persist, but that doesn't diminish the fact that Pearson's line has displayed great chemistry and should continue to be effective together.

Tanner Pearson had a goal and an assist in the Kings' 4-1 victory Sunday night.

Pearson now has three points in three games this season. "He's fired up," Anze Kopitar said, referring to Pearson. "He's getting some good looks, getting some ice time and well-deserved, too. They've been playing great and hopefully they can continue that way." When Kopitar says "they," he's including Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli into the equation. That trio has formed the Kings' best line so far this season.

Youngster Tanner Pearson will likely enter training camp with a chance to secure a role on the Kings second line.

Pearson filled that second line role during the Kings playoff run this summer and showed some definite chemistry with sniper Jeff Carter in the process. Despite failing to impress with just seven points in 25 regular season contests, he elevated his game in the postseason and notched 12 points in 24 games. Both he and fellow youngster Tyler Toffoli should be popular sleeper selections in drafts this fall.

Tanner Pearson showed he could elevate his game to the highest level during his first playoff run with the Kings this spring, and the 22 year old is one to watch regarding his future fantasy potential.

Pearson went undrafted in 2011, but exploded for 91 points in 60 games during the 2011-12 OHL season and was selected at the end of the first round in 2012. The late bloomer had a productive season in the AHL this season with Manchester, amassing 32 points in 41 games, and clicked with fellow youngster Tyler Toffoli and veteran Jeff Carter on a superb second line during the playoffs. Pearson notched 12 points in 24 games during the post-season, and has the skills, speed, soft hands and drive to be a productive forward down the road.
