William Karlsson posted an assist on Vegas' only goal in a 1-0 win over Los Angeles in Game 4 on Tuesday night.

Karlsson and Reilly Smith set up Brayden McNabb's game winner against his former team to give the Golden Knights a first-round sweep over the Kings. Karlsson didn't have a point in the first two games of the series, but he notched one goal and one helper on the road to help send Vegas into the second round.

William Karlsson scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3.

The Golden Knights scored goals 21 seconds apart to give themselves a two-goal lead with five minutes left in regulation. A late Kings goal made the game interesting but the Golden Knights will now carry a commanding 3-0 series lead into Tuesday's Game 4 contest in Los Angeles. It's Karlsson's third career playoff goal and he has four points in eight career post-season games.

Karlsson has scored a goal in three straight outings and he has picked up at least one point in five consecutive contests. He now has four goals with 11 points and a plus-8 rating during the five-game point streak. Karlsson was named the NHL's first start for the past week and it appears he is hungry for more. He is going to be a handful for the opposition when the Stanley Cup playoffs begin.

William Karlsson's spectacular goal Saturday night clinched the Pacific Division tile for the Vegas Golden Knights.

Karlsson beat San Jose goalie Martin Jones with a between the legs shot into the top corner on a shorthanded breakaway. "I don't know. I had a great spot to pull that move and what can I say? It went in," Karlsson said. "It's nothing you really practice, it just happens. It's just instinct. When you black out, that's usually when you do well. Don't overthink it." He has amassed 42 goals and 75 points in 79 games this year. Karlsson also stretched his current point streak to four straight contests.

Shea Theodore's point shot was tipped by Tomas Hyka in front before falling to Karlsson who had the open net for the easy tap in. Karlsson continues to build on a remarkable season and has now picked up 18 points over his last 18 games, bringing him to 62 points in 69 games this season. Erik Haula and Ryan Carpenter also scored in the win.

The 25-year-old has registered at least one point in nine of his last 10 games. He has an incredible 33 goals and 55 points in 61 games this season. Only Alex Ovechkin (36) and Evgeni Malkin (34) have more goals than Karlsson. He's been the biggest individual surprise of the season.

Previously a castoff from the Columbus Blue Jackets, William Karlsson has been a revelation for the Golden Knights. The Swedish forward now has a 30-goal season in his fourth year in the National Hockey League. He didn't have more than nine goals in a season before this year. The Golden Knights also got goals from Erik Haula, Jonathan Marchessault, and Ryan Carpenter in the victory. Karlsson has 30 goals and 50 points in 57 games this season.
