Nikita Kucherov is in the lineup for Game 6 Monday night when the Lightning look to avoid elimination in Chicago.
Head coach Jon Cooper had listed Kucherov as "probable" for the game during the teams press conferences earlier in the day and the news will hold up for Monday’s game. This is fantastic news for Lightning fans as the triplets line would look very different with Jonathan Drouin replacing Kucherov. Nikita Kucherov (undisclosed) is considered "probable" to play Monday night in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, according to coach Jon Cooper.

He took part in the morning skate and it didn't look like anything was bothering him. Kucherov missed most of Game 5 after he collided with the goal post, but he appears to be OK to play.

Kucherov left Saturday's game after colliding with the post and he did not return to the game. Cooper added that Kucherov is a possibility for Game 6. He's an important part of the Lightning's offense.

"Kooch is a key part of our lineup," said Lightning winger Ryan Callahan, "and he’s a guy we definitely missed tonight. The margin of error in this series is so small, and we’ve got to step up as a group and find a way to score more goals." Kucherov left the game after crashing into the Blackhawks' goal post and he did not return. It will be interesting to see if he will be able to play in a do-or-die Game 6.

The Tampa Bay Lightning aren't sharing much yet about Nikita Kucherov's status after what looked like an injury in Game 5 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.

Kucherov crashed into the Chicago Blackhawks' net during the first period of a 2-1 win for Chicago. He suffered the apparent injury then and did not return. One would speculate that it's neck or shoulder-related, but call it "upper body" for now.

Nikita Kucherov registered a pair of goals Tuesday night, but it wasn't nearly enough as the Lightning were dumped by the Rangers by a score of 7-3.

Kucherov has now tallied nine times in the postseason, placing him in a tie for second in the NHL with Patrick Kane and Corey Perry. The goal was Kucherov's second point of the night, his first came off an assist late in the third period giving Tampa a brief 5-4 lead. Kucherov now has points in three of his last four games, including two straight, totaling three goals and eight points during that span. With seven goals and 16 points this postseason, Kucherov sits tied with Corey Perry in postseason points.

Kucherov now stands tied with Steven Stamkos in points with eight through 11 games, but unlike the captain, Kucherov's points are spread evenly with four goals and assists. The tally was also recorded on the power play, giving him a trio of goals and four points with the man advantage thus far in the playoffs.

Nikita Kucherov scored the game-winning goal in the second period of overtime in Friday's 2-1 win over Montreal.

Habs rookie defenseman Greg Pateryn coughed up the puck to Valtteri Filppula, who then set up Kucherov for the winner. The 21-year-old was very dangerous in the overtime periods, as he also had a goal waved off in the first of the two extra frames. This is a huge win for the Lightning after they came into this match just two days removed from a game seven win against Detroit (Montreal had five days off). Kucherov's goal was his first of the playoffs. He now has five points in eight games this postseason. The Lightning lead the best-of-seven series 1-0.

Nikita Kucherov contributed three assists in Monday's 5-2 win over Detroit to help the Lightning force Game 7.

He was also the victim of a questionable hit from Detroit's Niklas Kronwall, which will probably be looked at by the NHL Department of Player Safety. Kucherov stayed in the game after taking an apparent leaping forearm to the chin and he didn't complain about the hit after the match. "It's a hit. He made a hit. I'm not going to cry now," he said. "It's part of the game. That's why we play here."
