Ryan Pulock had a night to remember Saturday against Chicago.
He scored a goal and registered four assists to become the 10th rookie defenseman in the history of the NHL to register five points in a game, and the first to do so with the Islanders. Pretty amazing for a guy who had nine points in 33 games going into Saturday night's contest. Jan 21 - 12:30 PM

Ryan Pulock scored a goal and added four assists in a 7-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Prior to Saturday night's game, Pulock didn't register more than two points in a game. Tonight, he had a hand in five of the Islanders' seven goals against Chicago. He assisted on goals from Anthony Beauvillier, Jordan Eberle, and Brock Nelson. He also added a goal of his own in the opening period. Pulock has four goals and 14 points in 34 games this season.

Ryan Pulock appears to be OK to play Sunday.

Pulock, who was sporting a full shield, was paired with Thomas Hickey during the pregame warmups, while Dennis Seideberg didn't take part in line rushes. That means that Sebastian Aho will likely play against New Jersey.

Ryan Pulock (undisclosed) will participate in the pregame warmup Sunday afternoon.

Pulock exited Friday's game against Pittsburgh due to injury, but it sounds like he could play against New Jersey. Coach Doug Weight said all seven defensemen will be in the warmups.

Ryan Pulock left Friday night's 4-0 loss to Pittsburgh with an undisclosed injury.

Pulock left the contest in the third period and an update in his status wasn't given afterward. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.

Ryan Pulock was a force on the power play Saturday with a goal and an assist.

It was Pulock's third game of the season as he has been a healthy scratch for eight games. He is up to a goal and three points and that's not too shabby for a blueliner. We guess he will be back in the lineup Monday against Vegas with a performance like Saturday's under his belt.

Look for Ryan Pulock to draw into the Islanders' lineup against the Predators Saturday night.

He was a healthy scratch Thursday against Minnesota, but Islander coach Doug Weight seems to have decided to dress Pulock Saturday night. He may even get some ice time on the Islanders' second power play. At this point we are not sure which defenseman will sit out to accommodate Pulock.

Ryan Pulock will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Minnesota.

Pulock has only skated in two games this season, but he's managed to collect an assist. Fellow blue liner Dennis Seidenberg will also serve as a healthy scratch in this one.

Ryan Pulock will draw into the Islanders' lineup on Thursday.

Pulock is drawing into the lineup after being a healthy scratch for six straight games. The hope is that he might be able to contribute offensively, especially given that the Islanders haven't gotten a goal from their defensemen yet this season. He's also projected to play on the top power-play unit, which is 0-for-20 so far. In other words, this is a big opportunity for him. Nikolay Kulemin is expected to be scratched with the Islanders dressing seven defensemen.

Ryan Pulock was a healthy scratch for the fifth straight time Sunday.

The defenseman has yet to play this season. He had 15 goals and 46 points in 55 AHL games last season but he is of no fantasy value at this time.

Ryan Pulock is projected to be a healthy scratch on Friday.

Pulock had 15 goals and 46 points in 55 AHL contests last season. He might have some fantasy value if he plays regularly, but obviously him being scratched for the season opener isn't encouraging.

Ryan Pulock is one of the defensemen batting for a top-four spot on the Islanders blue line.

Pulock is in a battle with Adam Pelech and Scott Mayfield. Pulock, 22, has a booming shot from the point, but his overall game still needs some work. "They’re friends, but it’s a competition," Weight said. "Each of them should come in every day saying, ‘I’m taking his job.’ That’s the way the world is. I need Ryan to come in and say, ‘It’s my puck, it’s my power play, it’s my job.’ I want him up the ice. I want Pelly up the ice. I want Mayf mean." Pulock played in one NHL game last season, but he had 15 goals and 46 points in 55 AHL games last season. He could have fantasy value if he earns that top-four spot.

The New York Islanders have protected five defensemen as part of their eight skaters.

The Islanders protected Johnny Boychuk, Nick Leddy, Travis Hamonic, Adam Pelech and Ryan Pulock as well as John Tavares, Andrew Ladd and Anders Lee up front with Thomas Greiss in net. That means that Ryan Strome is available as well as Brock Nelson for the Golden Knights.

Ryan Pulock was named the AHL's player of the week.

The defenseman scored three times and added a trio of assists for the Islanders farm team in Bridgeport. He was also a plus-six. Pulock has 10 goals and 22 points in 27 games in the AHL. He suffered a broken foot the first week of the NHL season and has been trying to get back on the Islanders defense ever since.

Ryan Pulock (broken foot) has been skating but is not close to returning to action.

Pulock is with the Islanders as they embark on a California road trip but will continue to get in some conditioning without playing as he closes in on a return. He was injured in his first game back from the minors so he has no stats this season.
