Fitzgerald opened the scoring in a 4-2 win for the Bruins. He got to play with David Pastrnak and David Krejci during the first period and made the most of the opportunity. Ryan Fitzgerald has agreed to a two-year, entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins.

Fitzgerald's contract will start in 2017-18, but he'll join the AHL Providence Bruins now on an amateur tryout agreement. He scored 12 goals and 31 points in 34 games with Boston College this season. The Bruins took him in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Ryan Fitzgerald captured the MVP honor at the inaugural USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game over the weekend.

He collected three assists for Team McClanahan in a 5-2 victory Team Housley in Buffalo, N.Y. Fitzgerald plays for the Valley Jr. Warriors of the EJHL and he is the son of former NHLer Tom Fitzgerald, who was in attendance to see his son as well as scout the field in his role as assistant general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
