Martin Reway has inked a three-year, two-way contract with Montreal.
"We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with Martin Reway. A young forward with tremendous offensive skills, Martin has the potential to become a very good player," said GM Marc Bergevin. "He enjoyed success during his two seasons in North America with the QMJHL's Gatineau Olympiques before turning professional in Europe and playing in the Czech Republic and Switzerland the past two years." In 2015-16, he played for Fribourg-Gotteron in the Swiss National League A, where he produced eight goals and 21 points in 19 games, as well as Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga, where he had five goals and 15 points in 14 contests. Reway, who was chosen in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Draft by Montreal, will try to earn a roster spot at training camp next season. May 18 - 12:25 PM

Draft prospects Martin Reway and Ivan Barbashev were big attractions for scouts Thursday night in the QMJHL game between Gatineau and Moncton.

The Slovakian-born Reway is a top prospect for the upcoming draft, while the Russian-born Barbeshev will be eligible for the 2014 one. The undersized (5-foot-8, 158-pound) Reway has dazzled this year with 16 points in 13 games for Gatineau. Barbashev has eight points in 14 games with Moncton. Two dozen scouts were on hand to watch these two talented European players.
