Seth Griffith will be out of action for three-to-four weeks due to an MCL sprain in his left knee.

He was injured in Sunday's preseason opener against New Jersey. Griffith split time in NHL and the AHL last season. He had 10 points in 30 games with Boston and 31 points in 39 outings with Providence. Griffith won't get a chance to try to stick with the Bruins out of training camp now and he'll start the year on the sidelines.
Sep 21 - 5:51 PM

Seth Griffith left Sunday's exhibition game against New Jersey because of a lower-body injury.

The Bruins have already announced that he won't be returning to the game. It's unclear how severe the injury is. Even if it is minor, there's no point in pushing him in the first game of the pre-season.
Sep 20 - 9:08 PM

Seth Griffith scored two goals and added an assist in Providence's 5-4 win over Worcester Friday night.

Griffith, who was demoted to the AHL when David Pastrnak was summoned to Boston, has been playing excellent hockey for the Baby Bruins. He has scored five goals and registered 11 points in 10 games. If Pastrnak hits the wall, or if one of the Bruin forwards suffer an injury, Griffith will certainly be back in Beantown.
Jan 31 - 9:14 AM

Seth Griffith has been sent down to the AHL by the Bruins.

Griffith, who was a healthy scratch Saturday, has six goals and 10 points in 30 games this season. The emergence of David Pastrnak has cut into Griffitih’s time. The Bruins want Griffith to get more consistent ice time.
Jan 10 - 8:26 PM

Seth Griffith seems to have found a spot on the Bruins' top line alongside David Krejci and Milan Lucic.

Griffith has had some stints on the top unit earlier this season, but it seems that as of late, he has really meshed with Krejci and Lucic and might have a longer opportunity to skate with two of Boston's best players. Although Griffith does not have a scorer's pedigree, he should get goals and points by association making him a viable fantasy acquisition.
Jan 3 - 8:53 AM

Seth Griffith scored his first goal since Nov. 15 on Monday night.

He struck on the power play to give Boston a 4-2 lead in the third period. Griffith hadn't earned a point in his previous 10 appearances. He played with Matt Lindblad and Craig Cunningham on Boston's fourth line.

Seth Griffith will return to the Bruins lineup Monday night against the Red Wings.

With Milan Lucic and Patrice Bergeron both out with undisclosed injuries, the 21-year old rookie will be back in the lineup Monday. He was skating on the fourth line with Matt Fraser and Craig Cunningham in practice Monday morning, although Fraser was just waived and claimed by Edmonton so his wingmate is unknown at this time.

Seth Griffith and Zach Trotman will once again be healthy scratches Saturday night against the Blue Jackets.

The young prospect Griffith has found himself in and out of the lineup over the last few weeks and will once again find himself a healthy scratch Saturday in Columbus. He has just seven points (five goals and two assists) in 25 games played this year. Trotman hasn't played since December 17th and has four assists in 17 games played on defense for the Bruins this year.

Seth Griffith and Zach Trotman will sit Sunday night against the Sabres.

Griffith last scored a point on November 15th against Carolina, a span of 10 games for him. With five goals and seven points in 25 games this season, the hot prospect is not much of a fantasy option at this time. Trotman has no value.

Seth Griffith could be looking at a demotion to the AHL if he does not start producing offensively.

It seems the 21-year-old has hit the very common "rookie wall" as he has not scored since November 15th. Now with David Krejci back and Milan Lucic playing better, Griffith will have top pick up his game if he wants to stay on the Bruins' first line and in the NHL altogether. Boston has been said to be looking for a big-bodied winger via a trade who could be a compliment to Krejci and Lucic, so Griffith's days may be numbered in any event. If you haven't dropped Griffith by now, we advise it might be time to make a move.

Seth Griffith is in the middle of a pretty bad slump.

The 21-year-old rookie has no points or shots on goal in his last four games. Griffith is just going through the ups and downs that most NHL rookies go through according to Claude Julien. "We’ve seen some good things from him, and he’s a young player. So you kind of expect those things are going to happen at times," said Claude Julien. "He’s known for being a good, smart player and a good shooter, so when he doesn’t shoot it takes a lot away from his game." He has five goals and seven points in 19 games this season.

Seth Griffith has been recalled by the Boston Bruins.

Griffith only ended up spending a day in the minors. He has five goals and seven points in 18 NHL games this season.
Tue, Nov 25, 2014 06:42:00 PM

Seth Griffith has been returned to the minors.

He has five goals and two assists in 18 games with Boston this season. Griffith was sent down so the Bruins could activate Brad Marchand from injured reserve.
Mon, Nov 24, 2014 05:08:00 PM

Seth Griffith scored two goals and added an assist for Bruins Tuesday night, but they were not enough to hold off the Wild in a 4-3 defeat.

Griffith has fit in exceptionally well on the team's top line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci and should be in that spot for the foreseeable future. Lucic also picked up a power play tally and an assist for Boston in the losing effort.
