Elias Lindholm's 16th goal of the season was the overtime winner in the Hurricanes 3-2 win over Tampa Bay.
It was another disappointing offensive season for the fifth overall pick in 2013 who snapped a 27 goal-less streak with the game winner. Lindholm ended the season with 44 points, one point less than his career best set last season. It seems that Lindholm should take the leap to the 55-60 point level but he has yet to do so, so count on 40-45 next season and hope for a lot more. Apr 8 - 8:02 AM

Elias Lindholm impressed Hurricanes coach Bill Peters with his latest outing.

Peters referred to Lindholm as "the best player in the game." He had two assists in Carolina's 3-2 victory over Chicago on Thursday. Lindholm also led all Carolina forwards with 21:36 minutes of ice time. He's up to 15 goals and 36 points in 67 contests in 2017-18.
Mar 9 - 6:24 AM

Elias Lindholm assisted on both goals by Jamie McGinn.

Lindholm is on a three game scoring streak and has 15 goals and 32 points in 55 games. He is on pace for career highs in goals and points as he had 17 goals in the 2014-15 season and 45 points last season. He is worth owning in deeper pools as he also has six goals and eight points on the power play.
Feb 11 - 6:57 AM

Elias Lindholm scored but it wasn't enough as the Carolina Hurricanes dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.

Lindholm scored his 15th goal of the season 15 minutes into the first period to give his team an early lead. Unfortunately for Lindholm and his teammates, Wayne Simmonds evened up the score late in the second period and Jordan Weal scored the overtime winner to hand the Hurricanes the loss. The winger now has 15 goals and 29 points in 53 games this season. It was his first goal in seven games.
Feb 6 - 9:47 PM

Elias Lindholm scores two goals in a 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.

Tonight marked the first multi-goal game of the season, and his first since Jan. 2016. The Canes also got a goal from Justin Williams in the victory. Lindholm now has 14 goals and 27 points in 45 games this season for Carolina.
Jan 20 - 9:55 PM

Elias Lindholm took the place of the injured Sebastian Aho during Friday's practice on the Hurricanes' first line alongside Jordan Staal and Teuvo Teravainen.

Needless to say, this is a wonderful opportunity for Lindholm, who ranks sixth in Canes' scoring with 12 goals and 25 points. If you need a boost in offense, consider adding the 23-year-old Swede to your lineup.
Jan 20 - 9:19 AM

The Carolina Hurricanes expect to have forward Elias Lindholm back in their lineup tonight against the Calgary Flames.

Lindholm missed one game due to an illness and has picked up 25 points in 43 games so far this season. The former fifth overall pick still has ways to go offensively but he has so far developed into a solid two-way forward.
Jan 14 - 1:22 PM

Elias Lindholm (illness) is not on the ice for the pre-game warmup on Friday night.

That means he won't suit up in tonight's game against the Capitals. Lindholm has 12 goals and 25 points in 43 games this season. He's considered day-to-day at this point. Derek Ryan (upper body) and Joakim Nordstrom (illness) are also out of the lineup tonight.
Jan 12 - 7:08 PM

Elias Lindholm registered an assist in Carolina's 3-1 win over Montreal Wednesday night.

Lindholm is on a three-game point streak. He's up to 10 goals and 21 points in 36 contests this season. He finished with 45 points in 2016-17 and he'll probably finish around that mark this time around.

Elias Lindholm scored a goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night.

Elias Lindholm ended his four-game point drought on Monday.

Lindholm registered an assist in Carolina's 5-1 win over Dallas. He has three goals and eight points in 16 contests this season, which is below the pace we're hoping for from him. He set a career-high in 2016-17 with 45 points and went into this campaign as a potential breakout candidate. It's looking like that won't happen, but he could still heat up enough to challenge the 50-point milestone.

Elias Lindholm found the back of the net in Carolina's 5-3 win over Edmonton Tuesday night.

It was Lindholm's first goal of the 2017-18 campaign. He also has two assists in four contests. He scored 11 goals and a career-high 45 points in 72 contests last season.

Elias Lindholm had two assists on Saturday.

Lindholm usually gets off to a slow start so picking up a pair of helpers in the opener hopefully bodes well for the season. It's hard to believe that Lindholm is still only 22 as this is his fifth season in the NHL. He could explode this season and get 55-plus points. He is worth picking up now in deeper leagues as he plays on the top line with Sebastian Aho and Jordan Staal.
