Markus Granlund set a new career high in points on Friday night, unfortunately the Wild fell to the Red Wings 3-2.

Granlund picked up his 11th goal of the season and 42 point in the effort. He now has 29 goals and 130 points through 236 career games. Not too shabby at all.

Markus Granlund scored the overtime winner in a 3-2 win over Arizona on Wednesday.

It was his first goal in a Canucks uniform for the 22 year-old. He snapped home a juicy rebound in a two-on-one situation late in the overtime period. Radim Vrbata and Luca Sbisa scored the other goals for the Canucks who came back from a 2-0 deficit in the game.

One game, one assist. Not a bad ratio at all. Granlund is now up to four assists and eight points in 35 games this season in total.

Markus Granlund will debut for the Canucks on Thursday night against the Senators as the third line center.

Granlund will be flanked by Linden Vey and Emerson Etem, which doesn't exactly bode well for fantasy purposes. Vey and Etem have combined for three goals and 12 points in 39 games with Vancouver this season, while Granlund has three points and seven points over 31 games with Calgary. There simply isn't any fantasy value here unfortunately.

With his goal and assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Oilers, Mikael Granlund now has points in four of his last five games.

He's up to six goals and 31 points on the season, giving him his third consecutive season of at least 31 points. Not quite what Minnesota is hoping for out of him, but with 31 points in 58 games he appears poised to top his best mark of 41 points in 63 games.

Granlund took advantage of moving up to center the second line with Monahan' absence. It was his first goal since Dec.12 and just his fourth in 28 games. Dougie Hamilton, Michael Ferland and Mikael Backlund all added goals.

While Colborne clearly boasts the most fantasy value, he's seen just five games since Jan. 11th. Granlund meanwhile has now played in 82 career NHL games, posting just 13 goals and 26 points with 36 blocks and 63 hits.
