The Montreal Canadiens have assigned Sven Andrighetto to the minors.
This move likely indicates that Alexander Radulov (flu) is ready to return to action. Andrighetto has speed and skill, but he's been unable to make his mark at the NHL level. Nov 19 - 10:22 AM

Sven Andrighetto has cleared waivers and will head down to AHL Saint John's.

The 23-year-old is a near point-per-game player down on the farm, but has just 20 points in 56 games up with the big boys. Until he finds a way to put it together, we may look elsewhere for sleepers.

Sven Andrighetto and Zach Redmond will be scratched against Buffalo for Thursday's opener.

Andrighetto has been a near point-per-game players over the last three seasons down on the farm. But with just 20 points in 56 career NHL games, we're all still waiting for the 23-year-old to finally pop. No reason why this can't be the season, but you may wish to let him get hot first.

Sven Andrighetto contributed a pair of assists in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Dallas Stars.

Mar 9 - 10:19 AM

Sven Andrighetto skated on Montreal's top line with Alex Galchenyuk and Max Pacioretty after Brendan Gallagher exited with an injury.

Gallagher was hurt in the first period and it led to Andrighetto being promoted to the first time. Andrighetto has good offensive instincts and blazing speed. He could have some nice short-term upside if he continues to play with Galchenyuk and Pacioretty, but that's far from a sure thing with Michel Therrien behind the bench.
