Sven Andrighetto (leg) will stay behind with the Avalanche set to begin a three-game road trip this week.

It's unclear if Andrighetto will join the team at some point, but for now it doesn't seem like he will play Tuesday night. He hasn't played since Dec. 31 because of a leg injury.

Andrighetto might be ready to return Thursday against the St. Louis Blues. He has already missed seven contests going into this week's action.

However, Andrighetto participated in the morning skate and could be close to a return to the lineup. It's possible he could be back as early as Saturday against the Rangers, but a return next week during Colorado's road trip may be more likely.

Sven Andrighetto will sit out Thursday night's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets as he continues to recover from a leg injury.

Andrighetto got injured over the weekend and it appears he isn't ready to return to the lineup as of yet. He'll sit out tonight's game. Goaltender Semyon Varlamov is also day-to-day with a lower body injury. The Avalanche have also scratched Andrei Mironov

It was initially believed that he would be able to go, but that won't be the case. A.J. Greer, who was called up from the minors on Monday, will pay against Winnipeg in Andrighetto's place.

Andrighetto crashed into the boards on Sunday and appeared to suffer a leg injury, but it looks like he will be available to play against the Jets. He is considered day-to-day for now and A.J. Greer has been called up as possible insurance.

Sven Andrighetto had a pair of assists in a 4-2 win against Pittsburgh on Monday night.

Andrighetto had a hand in goals by J.T. Compher (game winner) and Tyson Barrie (power play) in the contest. He hasn't scored a goal since Nov. 11, but he has generated 16 points in 32 outings this season.

Andrighetto took Gabriel Landeskog's spot alongside Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen. Landeskog has been suspended for the next four games.

Sven Andrighetto is expected to be a healthy scratch in Wednesday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Andrighetto had six points in his first five games of the season, but he has just one goal in his last eight contests. Andrei Mironov is also expected to watch the game from the press box.

Sven Andrighetto scored a goal and registered an assist in Colorado's 4-3 loss to Ottawa on Saturday.

It was Andrighetto's second multi-point game in the span of three contests. He has five goals and 12 points in 16 games, which is a very encouraging start for the 24-year-old. It helps that he's averaging a respectable 15:51 minutes per contest. As long as his playing time stays decent, we could see him flirting with the 50-point milestone.

Sven Andrighetto posted a pair of goals with a plus-1 rating and a hit in Wednesday's 6-3 win against the Bruins.

The former Habs right winger certainly has been a thorn in the side of the B's, posting three goals with an assist and a plus-3 rating during the home-and-home series. Boston will be glad not to see him again this season. The Swiss-born winger has the potential to reach at least 50 points.

Sven Andrighetto notched a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Boston on Monday afternoon.

Andrighetto opened the scoring in the first period and his first marker of the season held up as the game winner. He also added an assist on a goal by Nail Yakupov late in the third stanza. Andrighetto didn't have a point in his first two contests this year.

Sven Andrighetto scored a goal and an assist in Colorado's 4-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.

Andrighetto's numbers were modest when he was with Montreal, but he's taken off since being traded to Colorado at the end of last season. The 24-year-old had five goals and 16 points in 19 games with the Avs last season. He'll get a lot of opportunities to produce offense on a rebuilding team. He still has to prove himself at the NHL level, but he has the potential to hit the 50-point mark this season.
