Marko Dano netted the game-winning goal for Slovakia in overtime to defeat the United States by a score of 3-2.
However, it wasn't enough to get Slovakia into the quarterfinal round, as they needed a regulation time victory. Dano had a goal and an assist in six outings at the 2016 IIHF World Championship. May 17 - 5:18 PM

Marko Dano scored a goal in Winnipeg's 2-1 overtime win over Anaheim on Tuesday night.

He tied the game with just 3:46 remaining in the third period. Dano has a goal and an assist in his last two outings to give him seven points in 19 matches with the Jets.
Apr 6 - 1:03 PM

Marko Dano is projected to be back in the lineup on Tuesday.

He missed Sunday's game due to the flu, but skated with Alexander Burmistrov and Drew Stafford during the morning skate. Dano has notched three goals and five points in 11 games with the Jets since he was obtained from Chicago.

Marko Dano (flu) skated on Monday.

He missed Sunday's game with the flu, but could be available to play on Tuesday against Vancouver.
Mar 22 - 11:24 AM

Marko Dano will be scratched Sunday against Anaheim, allowing Chase De Leo to make his NHL debut.

Dano has seen a nice bit of success through his first 11 games with the Jets, posting three goals and five points with 26 hits. The kid is still loaded with talent so we'd remain patient if you're in a keeper type league.
Mar 20 - 2:37 PM

Marko Dano scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.

Dano scored his second and third goals as a Winnipeg Jet. Other Jets goal scorers in the game were Tyler Myers, Alexander Burmistrov, and Mark Scheifele. Dano also assisted on Alexander Burmistrov goal. With the multi-point effort, Dano has four goals and three assists in twenty-two games played this season, including five points in his past five games played.
Mar 15 - 2:16 AM

Marko Dano scored his first goal in his seventh game as a Jet in Thursday night's loss to Detroit.

Dano now has two points in his seven games with Winnipeg. While he re-adjusts to playing at the NHL level, he is not much of a fantasy asset.
Mar 10 - 10:27 PM

Marko Dano will make his Jets' debut Saturday afternoon against Pittsburgh on a line featuring Joel Armia and Adam Lowry.

Well that's a lot different than playing with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, a spot many thought Dano would occupy to start the season. Dano is a talented young player, however we expect him to suffer through considerable growing pains in the NHL.
Feb 27 - 1:39 PM

Marko Dano is expected to join his new Winnipeg teammates in Pittsburgh Friday afternoon.

However, it is unclear right now if Dano will make his Jets debut against the Penguins on Saturday in a matinee match-up. He was acquired from Chicago on Thursday as part of the Andrew Ladd trade.
Feb 26 - 10:19 AM

Marko Dano headlines the package sent to Winnipeg for Andrew Ladd.

Dano, a first-round pick in 2016 and a conditional selection in 2018 were exchanged for Ladd, Jay Harrison and Matt Fraser. This marks the second time Dano has been traded in less than a year, after having come over with Artem Anisimov in the Brandon Saad deal before the season started. Dano, still just 21-years-old, has posted four goals and 23 points with 40 PIMs in 34 games for AHL Rockford this season. He has nine goals and 23 points with 16 PIMs in 43 career NHL games with Columbus and Chicago. Considering Winnipeg's dearth and need for young scoring talent, we'd expect Dano to have a much easier time succeeding and fulfilling his tantalizing promise sooner rather than later.
Feb 25 - 8:20 PM

Marko Dano is okay with Chicago's decision to send him to the minors.

"I didn’t get too much ice time so I was talking to Coach and Stan about that and I think it’s a good move," Dano said. "I’m going to get a lot of ice-time opportunities on the power play and penalty kill here. I can get better in what I was doing there. If I would be sitting in the stands it wouldn’t help me at all. I’m glad I can be here and can play some hockey again." Dano had played in just 13 games with the Blackhawks and was only averaging 9:41 minutes per contest when he did dress. He has the potential to develop into a solid top-six forward. It makes sense for Chicago to be patient with him by giving him a chance to develop in the minors and it's good that Dano seems to have a positive attitude about it.

The Blackhawks sent Marko Dano to the minors this week for more playing time.

With the Hawks (when he dressed) Dano was averaging 9:41 minutes of playing time per game. That is far too low for a developing player. "We want him playing," Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville said. "He wasn’t playing enough minutes. He wasn’t playing enough games. We feel that’s got to be part of his improvement — getting neater with the puck and more consistent." Dano has too much talent and the Hawks have too much invested in him for him not to be back in Chicago at some point this season. Hold him on your bench for now if you are in a deep or legacy pool.

Dano has a goal and an assist in 13 games with the Blackhawks in 2015-16. He also has eight points in nine AHL contests.

Marko Dano and Brandon Mashinter will probably watch Thursday's game against Nashville from the press box.

Neither player skated on a line during the morning skate which would indicate that they won't suit up. Information like this could change throughout the day, so we'll let you know if either player suits up.

Marko Dano and Brandon Mashinter will be scratched from Tuesday's match with Nashville.

Unfortunately, neither Dano nor Mashinter boast much fantasy value. Dano has but two points and 15 shots in 13 games, while Mashinter has less than that through 11 games.
