Marko Dano will be back in the Blackhawks lineup on Saturday night against the Canucks.
Dano has but two points, nine shots, and 13 hits to show for his efforts through eight games this season. Not the kind of production expected out of the young phenom, but you should probably stick with him so long as he's in Chicago's top-six. Nov 21 - 8:25 PM

Marko Dano will be scratched from Friday's match with the Flames.

Through eight games with the Blackhawks so far Dano has a pair of points, nine shots, and 13 hits. Not exactly the production one was hoping for from the young phenom.
Nov 20 - 9:04 PM

Marko Dano is still adjusting to the Blackhawks.

He was benched for about 15 minutes of play from the second and third periods against Edmonton on Wednesday. Dano has been out of sync while playing alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa and it's unclear if he'll play on that line Friday night. "I haven't played as well as I'd like to," Dano said. "Now if I get the chance again, I've got to just find a way to be better." He has one goal and an assist in his first eight games with Chicago.
Nov 20 - 9:29 AM

Mark Dano will line up on Chicago's top line Saturday night against St. Louis.

Finally! This is where Dano belongs--alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. It was what the Hawks envisaged when they made the Brandon Saad trade with Columbus. Now is the time to pick up Dano. Don't wait a second as he will be scooped up fast. We wouldn't be surprised if Dano flourishes immediately on the Hawks' top unit.

Marko Dano said he learned some valuable lessons from his recent stint in the minors.

"Just be strong on the puck, move my feet and those chances will come if I do the hard work. That’s the key: if you’re going hard to the net those rebounds are going to be there. I have to be in the right spot at the right moment," Dano said. "Just keep working hard and maybe at some point they’ll come toward me." The 20-year-old has one goal in three games since being called up by the 'Hawks.

Marko Dano was on the third line at Monday's practice.

He skated with Tanner Kero and Ryan Hartman after getting called up from the minors. Dano has plenty of potential and is still viewed as a good fit to play alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. If that happens then he will be worth using in fantasy hockey, but right now it appears to be a wait-and-see approach.
Nov 2 - 11:53 AM

Marko Dano has been summoned from the minors by Chicago.

It was surprising when he was sent down before the start of the season, but the Blackhawks have done some roster shuffling following Marian Hossa's lower-body injury. Bryan Bickell has been assigned to AHL Rockford to make room for Dano.
Nov 2 - 11:08 AM

Marko Dano has registered seven points in nine games with Rockford of the AHL.

He is also a very impressive plus seven. With the Blackhawks struggling to score we wouldn't be surprised to see Dano recalled and installed on the top line alongside Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. If you can pick Dano up and stash him for now, do so immediately.

Don't sell your Marko Dano stock so fast.

Although the 20-year-old was assigned to Rockford of the AHL for further seasoning a week ago, he may be back in Chicago sooner than most think. Blackhawk coach Joel Quenneville is having trouble finding a winger to play with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. Teuvo Teravainen looks more comfortable as a third line center for now and Andrew Shaw, Ryan Garbutt and Viktor Tikhonov have not proven to be the answer. Dano has played two games at Rockford, but he scored a goal and is plus three. He could be back sooner rather than later to take the top line left wing spot. Keep an eye on this situation.

It sounds like Marko Dano left something to be desired during training camp, as far as Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was concerned.

"He had a decent camp, and he was ordinary in a couple of games. We want him getting pace into his game and getting our system in tune to his game," Quenneville said of Dano. "We just want him playing. There are a lot of guys who were in the same boat. We sent a lot of guys who were competing for the same opportunities here who, down the road, can play. Right now, get playing and hopefully they’re the first ones to get back." Describing Dano's camp as "decent" and saying that he had "ordinary" games isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of what he showed them. Dano got sent to the minors, which came as a surprise to many given his potential and his solid showing with Columbus in 2014-15. We like his chances of getting another shot with the Blackhawks before the season's over.

Oct 2 - 5:35 PM

Marko Dano has been reassigned to the minors.

That's one of the more surprising cuts of training camp. Dano was expected to make the squad after being acquired by the Blackhawks in the Brandon Saad deal. Perhaps they felt he would be better served getting top-line minutes in the minors, but either way we wouldn't be surprised if Dano is playing regularly with Chicago before the end of the campaign.
Oct 2 - 12:13 PM

Marko Dano pitched in an assist in Chicago's preseason loss to St. Louis on Thursday night.

Dano is a prime sleeper candidate if his preseason success playing on the Hawks' top line can transfer over to the regular season.
Oct 1 - 11:41 PM

Marko Dano is already drawing praise from Chicago coach Joel Quenneville early at training camp.

"I know that the one line that I liked, I liked Dano ... seemed to be very productive with Hoss and Johnny," Quenneville said when asked which players have stood out. Dano has been skating with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, which would make him an intriguing sleeper going into the year if he can keep that position.
Sep 21 - 12:22 PM

After a tumultuous off-season, Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman is exalting the virtues of change.

Bowman told " I think we're really going to fall in love with some of these guys." Few, if any, teams have seen the sort of dramatic changes the defending champions experienced this summer, so they'll need to see the likes of Marko Dano contribute in 2015-16.
Aug 30 - 2:19 PM

Marko Dano could be a useful later-round gamble in fantasy leagues this coming season.

Dano was acquired by the Blackhawks as part of the trade that sent Brandon Saad to the Blue Jackets on June 30. Dano tallied 21 points in 35 NHL games last year. The 20-year-old was the 27th-overall pick by the Blue Jackets in 2013. "I'm a two-way player with good hockey sense," Dano said. "I can protect the puck in the corners and make those little plays in there. Every player is different, but I like to play a hard game and Marian Hossa plays kind of the [same] style of game as me, but he's a different level. I'm trying to catch him with that." Dano figures to be a great player to own in dynasty leagues, too.
