The Philadelphia Flyers have activated Anthony Stolarz (knee) from the injured list and they loaned him to AHL Lehigh Valley.
Stolarz underwent knee surgery in September and he hasn't played since. The 24-year-old had 2-1-1 record with a 2.07 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage in seven games with the Flyers last season. Don't be surprised if he doesn't see much NHL action this season. Feb 19 - 10:48 PM

Stolarz underwent knee surgery in early September. He hasn't been ruled out for the rest of the campaign, but it would be somewhat surprising if he did return before 2018-19.

Anthony Stolarz's knee injury will keep him out for months, not weeks, per GM Ron Hextall.

Stolarz underwent meniscus surgery in April, but he needed to have a second procedure done on Thursday after injuring himself off the ice. It's unclear when Stolarz will be back at this point. He was heading into the season as the third goalie on the depth chart behind Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth.

Anthony Stolarz underwent knee surgery on Thursday to repair a meniscus tear.

Stolarz was hurt during the AHL playoffs and spent the summer rehabbing. The Flyers are listing him as out indefinitely. Stolarz wasn't likely to make the team's opening game roster, but he's a big part of the Flyers' future so in that regard this is a blow to the franchise. It also temporarily thins Philadelphia's organizational depth in goal, which will complicate matters if Brian Elliott or Michal Neuvirth get hurt before Stolarz recovers.

Anthony Stolarz has signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Stolarz had a 2.92 GAA and .911 save percentage in 29 AHL contests in 2016-17. He also recorded a 2.07 GAA and .928 save percentage in seven NHL games with the Flyers. Philadelphia has Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth, so Stolarz will probably begin the campaign in the minors.

The Philadelphia Flyers have protected Anthony Stolarz rather than Michal Neuvirth.

That move was a surprise to some. The Flyers also kept Sean Couturier, Valtteri Filppula, Claude Giroux, Scott Laughton, Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, Jakub Voracek, Shayne Gostisbehere, Radko Gudas and Brandon Manning. Vegas may consider grabbing Neuvirth with their Flyers selection.

Anthony Stolarz and Michal Neuvirth combined for a 3-0 win against New Jersey Saturday night.

Neuvirth started and ended up being the goalie of record. He was forced to leave after he collapsed on the ice 7:37 into the game in a scary incident. Stolarz was called up on an emergency basis earlier on Saturday because Steve Mason was out sick. He stopped all 26 shots he faced in 52:23 minutes of play, while Neuvirth was perfect against six shots before he was carted off the ice.
