The Griffins are up 2-0 as Street scored his second of the game. He now has six goals and 18 points in 15 games during the post-season. Street has seen NHL action with Calgary, Colorado and Detroit. The 30-year-old has only three assists in 35 NHL games throughout his career.

We had already reported Street's injury, but at the time the location of the slash was vaguer. He might begin the season on the injured reserve list.

Ben Street left Friday's game against Toronto after taking a skate to the face/neck area.

It was Toronto's Justin Holl that caught Street in the face with his skate. It's certainly a scary injury, but Sportsnet is reporting that Street is in stable condition at the hospital.
