He opened the scoring in the first period with his 17th goal of the season. Marchessault is still contributing on the Panthers despite being dropped to the third line. He has 11 points in the last 20 contests.

Jonathan Marchessault netted his 16th goal of the year in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Los Angeles.

He has been battling the flu bug, but still managed to contribute. Unfortunately, it was too little too late as his score made it 6-2 at the 11:09 mark of the third period. On the bright side, Marchessault has three goals in the last four games and six points in his past seven outings.

Jonathan Marchessault has been bumped to the third line.

Hopefully, he can work his way back to the second unit alongside Vincent Trocheck, but for now he is slated to play with Nick Bjugstad and Michael Sgarbossa. Marchessault was given Wednesday's practice off for maintenance because he is a little banged up, but he still could play Thursday. We will let you know if that changes.

Jonathan Marchessault has been a great surprise for the Panthers this season.

He signed a two-year, $1.5 million deal over the summer, but he's proved to be one of the best bargains in the league this season. "I thought I would play on the fourth line when I got here, show what I can do there. ," Marchessault said. "Obviously, I’m getting more time than expected. We have a good hockey team. It’s nice to be able to help out." He has 14 goals and 31 points in 43 games. He's on pace to hit the 24-goal mark right now.

Jonathan Marchessault got the game winner Thursday in a 2-1 overtime victory over Tampa Bay.

He tallied a power-play goal just 1:49 into the extra session. Marchessault has one marker and three assists over a four-game point streak. He has registered 31 points in 43 matches.

Jonathan Marchessault scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.

Marchessault's goal at the 10:07 mark of the third period broke a 1-1 tie. Vincent Trocheck and Jaromir Jagr picked up the assists on Florida's second goal. Marchessault has picked up five points in his last five contests. He's up to 12 goals and 25 points in 33 games this season. Greg McKegg also found the back of the net for the Panthers.

The winger picked up a helper during Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Montreal, giving him three points over that span. He has recorded 11 goals and 23 points in 30 games this season, and appears to be regaining his early season form.

Jonathan Marchessault found the back of the net in Florida's 3-2 shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With his team trailing 2-0 in the third period, Marchessault was finally able to beat Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen. That goal got the Panthers going, as Vincent Trocheck scored just over two minutes later to tie the game. Marchessault had an assist on that marker. Unfortunately for Florida, they were unable to beat Andersen in the shootout. Marchessault has put together a fine season. He's now scored 11 goals and 22 points in 29 games.

Jonathan Marchessault is "good to go" for Thursday night, according to interim coach Tom Rowe.

It was thought that Marchessault would be back in the lineup Tuesday, but he sat for the seventh time in the last eight games because of a groin issue. He still leads the Panthers with 10 goals and is second on the team with 20 points in 26 games.

Marchessault was expected to be a game-time decision, but he didn't come onto the ice for warmup. He's considered day-to-day for now. Kyle Rau and Dylan McIlrath will serve as healthy scratches against the Sabres.

Jonathan Marchessault (groin) is expected to play Tuesday night versus Buffalo.

He has missed six of the past seven games with a groin pull, but looked ready to play after Monday's practice. He skated without any issues and should suit up against the Sabres.

Marchessault returned from the ailment on Tuesday and registered an assist in that game, but he's back on the sidelines. It's particularly unfortunate given how good his season has gone when he has been healthy. He has 10 goals and 20 points in 26 contests.

Jonathan Marchessault will get back into the lineup on Tuesday night.

He appeared to be on track to return from a lower-body injury when he skated on Monday and apparently that will be the case. Although, he is officially listed as a game-time decision. Marchessault is projected to play with Nick Bjugstad and Colton Sceviour, which was the trio that Florida hoped to have as the third unit going into the year.
