Jonathan Marchessault scored a power play goal in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

The 24-year-old scored the game's final goal in the third period with assists going to Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos. Marchessault has one point and a minus-2 rating in five games this season. He may be a prolific AHL scorer, but he won't have any fantasy value while he's in the NHL.
Nov 22 - 9:57 AM

Jonathan Marchessault has been recalled from AHL Syracuse.

Marchessault has but six games of NHL experience, suggesting he isn't much of a fantasy asset. However his AHL career is that of a reliable scorer, so if the 24-year-old ever gets hot while playing against the big boys give him a shot if you can.

Jonathan Marchessault has been returnted to AHL Syracuse.

The 24-year-old is a scoring star in the AHL, but he didn't score any points in two games with the Bolts.
Nov 1 - 12:46 PM

Jonathan Marchessault has been called up by Tampa Bay.

He has produced three goals and five points in seven games with AHL Syracuse this season. Marchessault had one goal and one assist in two games with the Lightning last year.
Oct 29 - 10:07 AM

Jonathan Marchessault and Mike Angelidis have been waived by Tampa Bay.

Neither of them has much NHL experience, but they could stay up with the team if Tampa's injured players aren't cleared before Thursday's opener.
Oct 5 - 1:50 PM

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Jonathan Marchessault to a one-year contract extension.

Marchessault played in two regular season games and two playoff games with the Lightning this season. The 24-year-old had a very good season in the AHL as he posted 24 goals and 67 points in 68 games with the Syracuse Crunch.
Jun 28 - 5:16 PM

The Lightning will continue to use the same lineup that led them to the Stanley Cup Final in Game 1 Wednesday night versus Chicago.

Why shake things up when Tampa Bay is 8-3 when using 11 defensemen and seven forwards? It's an odd alignment that not many teams have tried in years past but one that has proven to succeed for Tampa Bay thus far. With that said, Jonathan Marchessault, Jonathan Drouin, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Mark Barberio will all continue being healthy scratches in Game 1. If this lineup proves triumphant, we wouldn’t expect them to change much going forward.

After taking the warm-up skate, Jonathan Marchessault will be scratched for Tuesday's Game 6 against the New York Rangers.

Even if he was in, it wouldn't be worth your while to pick up the rookie Marchessault. He has no points in two playoff games this postseason.
May 26 - 8:07 PM

Jonathan Marchessault will be a healthy scratch for Game 2 Monday night versus the Rangers.

With Brian Boyle returning from an undisclosed injury, Marchessault will watch from the press box Monday. Marchessault offers physicality to the lineup but has played in only two games during the playoffs without picking up a point so he shouldn't be missed too much.
May 18 - 8:14 PM

Jonathan Marchessault looks like he'll be in the lineup again for Game 2 against the New York Rangers.

He made his NHL playoff debut in Game 6 against Montreal and he played in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Rangers. Marchessault has registered three shots and he's averaged 11:27 of ice time per match.
May 18 - 3:29 PM

Jonathan Marchessault logged 11:15 of ice time in his NHL playoff debut.

He posted a shot and a hit during that time, while filling in for Ryan Callahan. Callahan missed the game after he needed an emergency appendectomy. Marchessault was called up a couple of weeks ago as a member of the "Black Aces" was chosen to play over Jonathan Drouin even though he appeared in just two games with the Lightning during the regular season. He played well in his first NHL playoff appearance and he saw 46 seconds of power-play time, but he shouldn't be a target for daily fantasy formats.
May 13 - 12:26 PM

It will be Jonathan Marchessault and not Jonathan Drouin who will be tapped to try to fill in for Ryan Callahan on Tuesday night in Game Six versus Montreal.

Marchessault, still just 24 years old, who has just four games and two points of NHL experience to his credit, will skate on the fourth line to the right of Brenden Morrow and Vladislav Namestnikov while playing in his first career NHL playoff game. In terms of professional playoff experience, Marchessault has played in 20 AHL playoff games over the past few seasons totaling four goals and seven points. Which stands in stark contrast to his near point per game pace during the regular season in the American.

Jonathan Marchessault will take part in Tuesday's pregame warmups.

With Ryan Callahan (emergency appendectomy) expected to miss the contest, it looks like Marchessault will be inserted into the lineup. Marchessault had 24 goals and 67 points in 68 AHL contests in 2014-15. He only has four games worth of NHL experience though.
May 12 - 2:22 PM

Jonathan Marchessault has been called up by Tampa Bay.

Goalie Kristers Gudlevskis and center Mike Angelidis were also summoned from Syracuse to join the Black Aces of the Lightning. More players are expected to be called up next week.
