Jonathan Marchessault now owns a nice little two-game point streak.

The winger picked up a helper during Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Montreal, giving him three points over that span. He has recorded 11 goals and 23 points in 30 games this season, and appears to be regaining his early season form.

Jonathan Marchessault found the back of the net in Florida's 3-2 shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With his team trailing 2-0 in the third period, Marchessault was finally able to beat Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen. That goal got the Panthers going, as Vincent Trocheck scored just over two minutes later to tie the game. Marchessault had an assist on that marker. Unfortunately for Florida, they were unable to beat Andersen in the shootout. Marchessault has put together a fine season. He's now scored 11 goals and 22 points in 29 games.

Jonathan Marchessault is "good to go" for Thursday night, according to interim coach Tom Rowe.

It was thought that Marchessault would be back in the lineup Tuesday, but he sat for the seventh time in the last eight games because of a groin issue. He still leads the Panthers with 10 goals and is second on the team with 20 points in 26 games.

Marchessault was expected to be a game-time decision, but he didn't come onto the ice for warmup. He's considered day-to-day for now. Kyle Rau and Dylan McIlrath will serve as healthy scratches against the Sabres.

He has missed six of the past seven games with a groin pull, but looked ready to play after Monday's practice. He skated without any issues and should suit up against the Sabres.

Marchessault returned from the ailment on Tuesday and registered an assist in that game, but he's back on the sidelines. It's particularly unfortunate given how good his season has gone when he has been healthy. He has 10 goals and 20 points in 26 contests.

Jonathan Marchessault will get back into the lineup on Tuesday night.

He appeared to be on track to return from a lower-body injury when he skated on Monday and apparently that will be the case. Although, he is officially listed as a game-time decision. Marchessault is projected to play with Nick Bjugstad and Colton Sceviour, which was the trio that Florida hoped to have as the third unit going into the year.

He skated with Nick Bjugstad and Colton Sceviour on the third line. "I'll see how it feels [Tuesday] because I have to be smart; what's one game out of 82?" said Marchessault. "It has gone well so far and I want to come back at 100 percent. When it's about skating, you want 100 percent." He has missed the last four games with what is believed to be a groin injury.

Coach Tom Rowe says that he hopes to have Jonathan Marchessault (lower body injury) back on Tuesday against the Wild.

Which means he may only miss just one more game which would be tonight against the Canucks, bringing his absence to four straight. Marchessault has five goals and 10 points in 25 games thus far.
