Kenny Agostino, the Yale University product who was acquired in the Jarome Iginla trade late last year and joined the Calgary Flames a couple of weeks ago, collected his first NHL goal en route to their 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers on Friday night.
"It’s nice to get the first one out of the way, especially going back to (his home in New Jersey to face the Devils Monday). I’m happy to not have the pressure to get it now at home," Agostino said. Apr 5 - 9:39 AM

Kenneth Agostino will return to Yale for the 2013-14 campaign.

Agostino is just one year away from finishing his degree in political science. "It was a tough decision. It's a big decision. I went back and forth for a while, looking at both sides of it," Agostino said. "Ultimately, after talking with my family, I realized I worked extremely hard at school. I might not be the smartest guy, but I worked really hard the last three years to put myself in this position to be one year away from getting that diploma, and I would really like to see that through." Agostino is expected to sign with Calgary once he decides to begin his pro career. The Flames acquired him from the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the Jarome Iginla trade.
