Erik Haula suffered a groin injury at Wednesday's practice.

Coach Mike Yeo doesn't think it's serious, but Haula was seen limping badly afterward and groin injuries can be tricky if they aren't taken care of. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Erik Haula is OK after an injury scare last Friday.

He took a skate horizontally to the upper lip that cut him for several stitches. Haula should be fine for training camp.
Sep 14 - 3:01 PM

Erik Haula has put a disappointing 2014-15 season behind him and he's looking forward to the upcoming campaign.

He was scratched for eight playoff games and found himself in coach Mike Yeo's doghouse for parts of the regular season. Haula notched just 14 points in 72 games and he posted a minus-7 rating. "It's already behind me," Haula said. "There's no reason to dwell on it. I'll just put the work in this summer and go from there. I'll try to do the best I can to be in the best shape possible." He inked a two-year, $2 million contract with the Wild earlier this month.
Aug 6 - 1:16 PM

The Minnesota Wild have signed Erik Haula to a new two-year contract worth $2 million.

The two sides had an arbitration hearing on Friday, but they were able to come to terms on an extension before the arbitrator's ruling was announced. Haula had seven goals and 14 points in 72 games last season.
Aug 2 - 10:15 AM

Erik Haula is seeking $1.2 million from an arbitrator.

Minnesota has countered at $775,000. Haula's arbitration date is scheduled for Friday, but the two sides have the option of settling on their own prior to the date or even after it so long as they agree to terms before a judgment has been made. Haula had seven goals and 14 points in 72 contests last season.
Jul 29 - 10:13 AM

Erik Haula has an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 31.

That's the latest date in the schedule for a hearing, which is great news for both sides as a recent report suggested that Haula and the Wild aren't close to an agreement. He had seven goals and 14 points in 72 contests with Minnesota last season.
Jul 13 - 5:34 PM

Erik Haula and the Wild are not near an agreement on a new contract.

The restricted free agent and the Wild could very well go into arbitration or sign right at the deadline, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Michael Russo. Haula made $900,000 last year. He played in 72 games, recording seven goals and seven assists, last season.
Jul 11 - 5:10 PM

Restricted free agent Erik Haula has filed for salary arbitration.

Haula is coming off a two-year contract that totalled $1.8 million. The two sides can still come to an agreement before the arbitration hearing takes place. Haula has seven goals and 14 points in 72 games with the Wild last season.
Jul 5 - 11:12 AM

Erik Haula scored his only goal and point of the postseason just five seconds after Blackhawks defender Michal Rozsival left the game with an ankle injury.

Off the ensuring faceoff, Haula smacked home the rebound created by Matt Cooke who had redirected Matt Dumba's shot from the point. It was a big moment in the game, cutting Chicago's lead to 2-1 just 6:24 into the second period. In 15 career playoff games, Haula now has five goals and eight points.
May 8 - 12:51 AM

Erik Haula appears as though he will be back in the lineup on Thursday night.

He made his 2015 playoff debut in Game 2 against Chicago and joined the fourth line during Minnesota's morning skate. Haula is projected to play with Jordan Schroeder and Matt Cooke.
May 7 - 1:48 PM

Erik Haula, who has yet to play a playoff game in 2015, hopes to get into the lineup for game two on Sunday.

"It’s been tough for sure, but I’m so full of excitement," said Haula, who scored four goals and seven points in 13 playoff games last spring. "It’s hard to describe what it feels like being out and feeling kind of helpless. But I’ve been working hard. If they call upon me, I’m going to give it my all and make sure it’s going to be tough to take me out." The 24-year-old has been a healthy scratch in each game despite scoring seven points in 13 playoff games last year.
May 3 - 11:07 AM

The Minnesota Wild have scratched Erik Haula, Niklas Backstrom, Sean Bergenheim, Nate Prosser and Jordan Schroeder for Sunday's game against St. Louis.

Also scratched are black aces Jonathan Blum, Ryan Carter, John Curry, Christian Folin, Kurtis Gabriel, Tyler Graovac, Zack Mitchell, Gustav Olafsson, Brett Sutter and Stephane Veilleux. The Wild currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 over the Blues.
Apr 26 - 3:29 PM

Forwards Erik Haula, Ryan Carter, Jordan Schroeder, and defenders Christian Folin and Nate Prosser will join goalie Niklas Backtrom in the stands for Game Five on Friday night.

With the series tied at two, Coach Yeo elected to make only a tweak to his line up. Subbing Matt Cooke in for Sean Bergenheim. Among the group, only Haula has much potential fantasy value as he put up seven points in 14 playoff games for the Wild last postseason. Plus, his excellent speed can be the ever-elusive "X-factor" at any given moment.

The Wild will go with the same lineup that defeated St. Louis in Game 1 Thursday.

That means that Erik Haula, Jordan Schroeder and Ryan Carter will be healthy scratches in Saturday afternoon's Game 2 action against Blues.
