Erik Haula scored his only goal and point of the postseason just five seconds after Blackhawks defender Michal Rozsival left the game with an ankle injury.
Off the ensuring faceoff, Haula smacked home the rebound created by Matt Cooke who had redirected Matt Dumba's shot from the point. It was a big moment in the game, cutting Chicago's lead to 2-1 just 6:24 into the second period. In 15 career playoff games, Haula now has five goals and eight points. May 8 - 12:51 AM

Date:

Erik Haula appears as though he will be back in the lineup on Thursday night.

He made his 2015 playoff debut in Game 2 against Chicago and joined the fourth line during Minnesota's morning skate. Haula is projected to play with Jordan Schroeder and Matt Cooke.
May 7 - 1:48 PM

Erik Haula, who has yet to play a playoff game in 2015, hopes to get into the lineup for game two on Sunday.

"It’s been tough for sure, but I’m so full of excitement," said Haula, who scored four goals and seven points in 13 playoff games last spring. "It’s hard to describe what it feels like being out and feeling kind of helpless. But I’ve been working hard. If they call upon me, I’m going to give it my all and make sure it’s going to be tough to take me out." The 24-year-old has been a healthy scratch in each game despite scoring seven points in 13 playoff games last year.
May 3 - 11:07 AM

The Minnesota Wild have scratched Erik Haula, Niklas Backstrom, Sean Bergenheim, Nate Prosser and Jordan Schroeder for Sunday's game against St. Louis.

Also scratched are black aces Jonathan Blum, Ryan Carter, John Curry, Christian Folin, Kurtis Gabriel, Tyler Graovac, Zack Mitchell, Gustav Olafsson, Brett Sutter and Stephane Veilleux. The Wild currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 over the Blues.

Apr 26 - 3:29 PM

Forwards Erik Haula, Ryan Carter, Jordan Schroeder, and defenders Christian Folin and Nate Prosser will join goalie Niklas Backtrom in the stands for Game Five on Friday night.

With the series tied at two, Coach Yeo elected to make only a tweak to his line up. Subbing Matt Cooke in for Sean Bergenheim. Among the group, only Haula has much potential fantasy value as he put up seven points in 14 playoff games for the Wild last postseason. Plus, his excellent speed can be the ever-elusive "X-factor" at any given moment.

The Wild will go with the same lineup that defeated St. Louis in Game 1 Thursday.

That means that Erik Haula, Jordan Schroeder and Ryan Carter will be healthy scratches in Saturday afternoon's Game 2 action against Blues.
Apr 18 - 11:54 AM

Erik Haula will draw back into the Minnesota lineup Saturday against Detroit.

He is often a healthy scratch but will play against the Wings at the expense of Ryan Carter. No real fantasy implications here.
Apr 4 - 1:57 PM

Erik Haula will be a healthy scratch Thursday against the New York Rangers.

It will mark his first trip to the press box since Jan. 29. Coach Mike Yeo said Haula will probably draw back into the lineup on Saturday versus Detroit. "After his last scratch, I thought he really elevated his game," said Yeo. "I think he's been doing an outstanding job on the penalty kill. There's a couple parts of his game that crept towards some of the things he was doing [before]. I don't think that he's playing bad, but I don’t think he's playing at quite of the level he was at."
Apr 1 - 3:19 PM

Erik Haula scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's win over Colorado.

The 23-year-old now has back-to-back two point games. Haula opened the scoring at the 10:49 mark of the first period. Colorado tied the game but the Wild added two more goals to get the win. Haula has seven goals and 12 points in 55 games this season.
Mar 1 - 12:28 PM

Erik Haula generated a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over Nashville.

He enjoyed a great night alongside Kyle Brodziak, who had a goal and an assist as well, and Justin Fontaine, who earned a helper. "Those guys deserve a ton of credit for the way they played the game," coach Mike Yeo said. "Those guys, every shift they were making a difference, every shift they were creating chances and doing things the right way. Solid at both ends of the ice. They didn't have easy match-ups either." Haula has recorded just 10 points in 54 games this year.

Erik Haula is projected to be scratched Tuesday.

"It's not about skating in open ice and it's not about skating fast in a straight line," coach Mike Yeo said. "It's about the compete level in the small areas, it's about being strong on the puck and puck strength and stick strength and D-zone coverage. These are the things that we need to see from him." Mikael Granlund is expected to return from injury and take his place. Haula has seven points in 41 contests this season.
Jan 27 - 10:09 AM

Erik Haula hadn't scored a goal since Dec. 9 going into Thursday's meeting with Buffalo.

He ended a 13-game goalless drought and added an assist in Minnesota's 7-0 victory versus the Sabres. Haula has three points in his last two games to give a total of seven on the year.
Jan 16 - 1:24 PM

Eric Haula is expected to center Thomas Vanek and Jordan Schroeder on their second line Thursday night against the Blackhawks.

Neither Haula nor Schroeder have any fantasy value, but Vanek is third on the team in points with 24. Pick up and start at your own risk.

Jan 8 - 7:21 PM

Erik Haula is projected to return to the lineup on Friday against Toronto.

He has been a healthy scratch in three of the past four games. Tyler Graovac was sent down to the minors on Thursday to open a spot for Haula.
Jan 2 - 10:25 AM

Erik Haula will won't play Wednesday night against Columbus.

The speedy, gritty center certainly has the potential to be a steady producer, but he hasn't quite put it all together this season. Let someone else buy into the hype until this bud blooms. He has been scratched three times in the last four games.
