Erik Haula is expected to miss at least one week with a lower-body injury.

It's assumed Haula was injured on the low hit that led to his fight. Regardless, he has no fantasy upside at the moment.
Oct 14 - 6:41 PM

Erik Haula was not present at practice today despite reports to the contrary.

Haula was placed on injured reserve, making room for Vegas to call-up Vadim Shipachyov. However, earlier reports had Haula practicing alongside Leipsic and Shipachyov. This should all be cleared up by head coach Gerard Gallant in his post practice press-conference.
Oct 14 - 3:36 PM

The Vegas Golden Knights have placed Erik Haula on IR, making room to call-up Vadim Shipachyov from the AHL.

However, Haula is still practicing with the team and is alongside Shipachyov and Leipsic. There will likely be an update made available at the conclusion of practice. Haula's injury might have something to due with his fight with Tomas Tatar last night.
Oct 14 - 3:21 PM

Erik Haula is excited to be part of the Golden Knights.

Haula was selected in the expansion draft from Minnesota and he agreed to a three-year contract with the team. "You're starting to build your own legacy. Nothing has happened [in Vegas] before. Everything is new," said Haula. "It's a great opportunity for everybody, so you just start building from there. Everyone is new, so we've just got to kick it into gear as fast as possible and spend a lot of time with the guys on the team and get to know each other. I'm really excited for this opportunity in my career." He is expected to kill penalties and has proven over the last two years that he is capable of contributing offensively.

Jun 21 - 10:15 PM

Erik Haula will reportedly sign a multi-year deal with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Agreeing to terms with Haula will prevent the Golden Knights from taking players like Eric Staal, Matt Dumba or Marco Scandella in the expansion draft. According to sources, the Wild will also give up prospect Alex Tuch to Vegas and get a conditional draft pick in the move.
Jun 21 - 10:37 AM

The Vegas Golden Knights might select Erik Haula from the Minnesota Wild in the upcoming expansion draft, according to the Minneapolis Tribune's Michael Russo.

It would be an interesting decision because the Wild left Eric Staal, Matt Dumba and Marco Scandella unprotected. Of course, it's entirely possible that Wild GM Chuck Fletcher is giving the Golden Knights some type of compensation to pass on that trio of players. Haula, 26, had 15 goals and 26 points in 72 games last season. He's scheduled to become a restricted free agent on July 1st.

Apr 18 - 12:52 PM

Bruce Boudreau spoke after practice and said Erik Haula missed practice to take a maintenance day.

This likely means Haula will be ready for Game 3 after he took a mean punch from Alex Pietrangelo at the conclusion of Game 2. Boudreau also added that Haula is feeling a little sore and the team didn't feel the need to push him at practice. Haula's status will be updating prior to Game 3 on Sunday.
