Anton Zlobin scored the winner to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins prospects to a 4-3 win over Ottawa Saturday.
Zlobin was a sixth round pick in the 2012 Draft and the 21-year-old Russian managed 13 goals and 30 points last season that was split between the AHL and the ECHL. He started slowly last season as he had a shoulder injury that forced him to miss prospects camp so more is expected of him this season. He should spend the season in the minors but could get a cup of coffee in the NHL if the Penguins have a flurry of injuries. Sep 14 - 9:44 AM

Anton Zlobin made his North American professional debut for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last Sunday.

Zlobin underwent off season surgery on his shoulder. Baby Penguins coach John Hynes was very impressed with Zlobin's quick release. "He's a shooter," Hynes said. "He's got excellent hands and an offensive mindset." Zlobin was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 Draft so he should spend at least the rest of the season in the AHL and probably next season as well.
