Adam Clendening set a new personal record during Thursday's 6-3 win over San Jose.

With his second goal with the Oilers he now has more goals with them than any other team. Granted, his first goal came with the Blackhawks and he played for two other teams in between. Still if you add on his assist, he now has two goals and seven points with Edmonton through 19 games. He had just one goal and five points in 30 games previously.
Mar 25 - 1:31 AM

Adam Clendening will tag in for Nikita Nikitin against the Oilers on Sunday.

Through eight games with the Oilers so far, Clendening has posted an assist with seven hits, eight PIMs and 11 blocks. Unfortunately there isn't much fantasy value here.
Mar 6 - 5:24 PM

Adam Clendening and Anton Lander will be scratches for the Edmonton Oilers Saturday when they host the visiting Winnipeg Jets.

Clendening has dressed twice since being claimed off waivers from Anaheim, finding opportunities hard to come by with his third team this season. He subbed in for Justin Schultz last game versus Columbus. Anton Lander will join him, missing his seventh straight.

Feb 13 - 9:54 PM

Adam Clendening will tag in for Justin Schultz on Tuesday night against Columbus.

It'll be Clendening's 31st career NHL game, and his first with the Oilers - his fourth franchise in since being drafted by Chicago in 2011. He does not project to be much of a fantasy option, but who knows, perhaps he can find his stride with the Oilers.
Feb 2 - 8:44 PM

Gaining Adam Clendening off of waivers gives Edmonton a bit more depth to work with as we approach the trade deadline.

Edmonton might look to move blueliner Eric Gryba and Justin Schultz before the deadline. Combine that with the fact that defensemen Oscar Klefbom, Brandon Davidson, and Andrew Ference are all currently on the injured reserve list and it becomes apparent why Edmonton is willing to roll the dice on Clendening. The 23-year-old blueliner was originally taken in the second round of the 2011 draft by Chicago, but he's been used in just nine NHL games this season.
Jan 28 - 11:02 AM

Edmonton has claimed Adam Clendening off waivers from Anaheim.

The Oilers will be the 23-year-old's fifth team and he's played in just 30 NHL games. Clendening didn't see any action with the Ducks after he was acquired from Pittsburgh.
Jan 27 - 12:15 PM

Adam Clendening has been placed on waivers by Anaheim.

If he clears then he'll probably head to the minors. Clendening hasn't played for the Ducks since he was acquired from Pittsburgh in the David Perron-Carl Hagelin deal. He has one assist and 11 shots in nine NHL games this season.
Jan 26 - 12:19 PM

Adam Clendening will not dress for the Ducks Wednesday night when the Minnesota Wild visit Anaheim.

Making his Ducks debut was determined upon the health of Sami Vatanen, who is good to go Wednesday night, Clendening gets the scratch. The second round pick 2011 (36th overall) is approaching journeyman status, with his fourth team in his young career already, dressing for nine games in Pittsburgh before the trade to Anaheim on Jan 16.
Jan 20 - 9:55 PM

Adam Clendening might make his debut with the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.

That will largely depend on Sami Vatanen's availability though. Vatanen wasn't able to practice on Tuesday because he was battling the flu, so he might still be too sick to play on Wednesday. If that's the case then Clendening will be inserted into the Ducks' lineup, but otherwise Vatanen will play.
Jan 20 - 10:24 AM

The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded Adam Clendening to the Anaheim Ducks along with David Perron for Carl Hagelin.

Clendening has upside but was mostly a healthy scratch in Pittsburgh. He played only nine games this season with only one assist. He will likely also be a depth defenseman in Anaheim and is expected to be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Jan 16 - 6:18 AM

Adam Clendening, David Warsofsky, and Sergei Plotnikov will each be scratched from Friday's match with Tampa Bay.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lick of fantasy value between the pair of blue liners who have seen a combined 21 games this season. Plotnikov meanwhile has at least posted 65 hits and 20 PIMs through 32 games.

Adam Clendening has been recalled by Pittsburgh.

Clendening has seen just nine games worth of action with Pittsburgh this season, and just 30 NHL games overall since being drafted in 2011. So it would appear his potential value is limited, at best.
Jan 10 - 12:59 PM

Adam Clendening has been sent to the minors on a conditioning assignment.

He has picked up one assist and a plus-3 rating in nine appearances with Pittsburgh this season. Clendening hasn't played since Dec. 19 against Carolina.

Adam Clendening will be scratched from Sunday's match with Winnipeg.

Through nine games with the Penguins so far, Clendening has an assist and 10 PIMs and not much else. Feel free to leave him on the wire.
