Nikita Nesterov, David Desharnais and Brian Flynn will each be scratched from Thursday's match with Arizona.

Each have managed to produce a modicum of fantasy value this season. Nesterov through five games has a goal and eight hits to his credit. Desharnais has picked up 10 points in 29 games. Meanwhile Flynn has posted 10 points with 26 blocks in 43 games.
Feb 9 - 2:10 PM

Nikita Nesterov scored his first goal as a member of the Montreal Canadiens in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Philadelphia.

Nesterov opened the scoring at the 4:51 mark of the first period. The young Russian was acquired from the Lightning last week, and the Canadiens have shown a willingness to play him regularly so far. Nesterov is up to four goals and nine assists in 37 games this season. Alex Galchenyuk and Andrew Shaw picked up the assists on Montreal's only goal.
Feb 2 - 10:45 PM

Montreal acquired Nikita Nesterov from Tampa Bay on Thursday night in exchange for Jonathan Racine and a sixth round pick in 2017.

Nesterov gets a new lease on life as he was often a scratch during his time with the Lightning. In 119 career NHL games, the 23-year-old has posted eight goals and 28 points along with 77 PIMs and 196 hits combined over the last three seasons. He'll never win a Norris Trophy but he can certainly become a solid contributor to the Canadiens' ailing blue line.
Jan 26 - 7:14 PM

Nikita Nesterov will be scratched from Sunday's tilt with the Penguins.

The physical defender has posted just 24 points through the first 112 games of his career, which unfortunately doesn't amount to much in fantasy.
Jan 8 - 4:37 PM

Nikita Nesterov picked up a pair of points in the 4-2 loss to the Flyers on Saturday.

Through 28 games the rugged defender now has six helpers and eight points thanks to his two assists in the match. With just 24 points in 112 career games, he won't be up for any Norris Trophy awards any time soon.
Jan 7 - 4:57 PM

Nikita Nesterov will tag in for Andrej Sustr against the Predators on Thursday.

Nesterov will play for the first time in two games. He has six points, 18 PIMs, and 37 blocks in 26 games. Sustr meanwhile has six points with 29 PIMs and 50 hits in 39 games.
Jan 5 - 7:18 PM

Nikita Nesterov is expected to be scratched for Tuesday's contest against the Winnipeg Jets.

Nesterov will sit for the second straight game. He has six points in 26 games this season. The big news is that former second-round pick Adam Erne will be making his NHL debut and Ryan Callahan will return to the lineup after a lengthy absence. Yanni Gourde is expected to be joining Nesterov as a healthy scratch.
Jan 3 - 7:21 PM

Nikita Nesterov will be scratched against Carolina on Saturday.

Through 26 games this season the young veteran has six points with 18 PIMs and 37 hits. He's also averaged just 15:55 of ice time per game, which is just eight seconds lower than his career best set two seasons ago.

Nikita Nesterov played well as a forward on Friday versus Washington.

The Lightning have plenty of injury concerns and question marks when they resume playing on Wednesday against Montreal. Nesterov could see more time up front if those forwards aren't ready to return.

Nikita Nesterov will be a healthy scratch against Detroit on Tuesday.

Nesterov played just 11:06 in the last game and he was scratched in the two games before that, so this isn't exactly surprising. The 23-year-old has two goals and four assists in 22 games this season. Ondrej Palat will miss the game with an undisclosed injury.
