Dylan DeMelo, Michael Haley, and Matt Tennyson will each be scratched from Tuesday's match with Edmonton.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of fantasy value here. Though it's worth noting that Haley has posted 205 PIMs in 66 career NHL games.

To make room for the recently acquired Roman Polak, rookie Dylan Demelo will be a healthy scratch Wednesday night.

Dylan DeMelo picked up his second career goal during Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to Calgary.

His first goal came recently on Jan. 26th, so while this likely isn't a sign of big things to come it's nice to see the rookie DeMelo progressing as he's scored three of his four points over the last month.

Dylan DeMelo had an assist in the Sharks' 6-2 loss to Nashville on Saturday.

DeMelo has just three points in 26 contests this season. Two of those points have come in his last four games though.
Feb 7 - 6:13 AM

Dylan DeMelo seems to be settling in as the Sharks' third defenseman.

DeMelo has dressed for nine straight games and has been playing alongside Brenden Dillon. "I think he is passing the test," Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said of DeMelo. "I don’t know when that test ever ends. I don’t think there’s a cutoff point where you say ‘OK, now you’ve arrived,’ but he’s been very reliable, steady and safe. I know [Sharks asst. coach] Bob Boughner feels very comfortable with him. And, he’s a competitive kid on top of that. He makes good decisions, and I think we feel real good about where he’s at right now and how he’s helping us." The 22-year-old blueliner has no points in 11 games, but he does have a bit of offensive upside.
