Dylan DeMelo took a butt end to his face Saturday from Alex Burrows and did not return.

It happened in the third period and Burrows got five and a game for his misdeed and could possibly be facing some discipline from the NHL. "It was a butt end in the face. I had a pretty clear view of it," Logan Couture said. "It’s unfortunate. He cuts him and gets him between the eyes. It’s something that doesn’t belong in this game and it’s a player that’s had a history." DeMelo played only 8:19 Saturday and has two assists in 12 games. Consider him day-to-day for now.
