The Arizona Coyotes have officially announced that they've signed Antti Raanta to a three-year contract.

The Coyotes didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal, but TSN's Bob McKenzie reported earlier that Raanta will come with a $4.25 million annual cap hit. Although this has been a rough season for Arizona, Raanta has nevertheless proven to be a capable starting goaltender. He's posted a 21-16-6 record, 2.24 GAA, and .930 save percentage in 46 games.

Raanta stood on his head tonight and single handedly killed any opportunity the Blues had to pull away from the Colorado Avalanche in the Wild Card battle. Arizona's starting netminder has now win his last five games, allowing a combined six goals and improving his record to 20-16-6 with a 2.27 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage. Look for the Coyotes to lock him up long term after the regular season after such a good season.
