One of the things that makes Alexander Wennberg stand out is his ability to use his skate to feed the puck to his stick.

"He does it even when he has a chance to use his stick," Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said of Wennberg's skate-work. "I've never seen a guy who can use his skates like he does. It really stands out with him. He feels that's part of his game, and 95 percent of the time he's dead-on with it." Wennberg was playing top-level hockey and soccer at the same time until just before he turned 17 and was finally forced to pick a sport to focus on, so that contributed to his ability to use his skates for puck-handling more than your average player. He's in his third NHL campaign and has set career-highs with 12 goals and 53 points in 68 contests.
