Coach Patrick Roy likes the progress that Chris Bigras is making.

"You can tell he needs more experience, especially on the physical side of the game. But I'm very happy with his performance," Roy said. "We agreed as coaches that the more he plays, the more confident he is, and the more confident he is, the better he is playing. He's starting to get more in the rush. He's starting to taking more chances offensively, for example, standing up at the blue line. Earlier he would back up way before, but now he seems to read those plays better and better." He suited up in his 10th game with the Avalanche on Thursday night. Bigras has one assist, five shots and a plus-2 rating since making his NHL debut on Jan. 14.
