Corban Knight notched a goal and an assist in Florida's 5-1 win over Buffalo on Tuesday.

Knight has generated six points in 10 games this campaign. Florida got strong contributions from the fourth line in the contest, with Derek MacKenzie earning a goal and an assist as well. The third member of the combination, Quinton Howden, earned a helper in the win.

Corban Knight scored in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Ottawa Senators.

Knight opened the scoring at the 9:14 mark of the second period. Quinton Howden and Jaromir Jagr picked up the assist on the goal. Brandon Pirri and Aleksander Barkov scored in the shootout. Knight has one goal and three points in five games this season.

The Panthers made 16 cuts Friday afternoon reducing their training camp roster to 31.

The Cats sent forwards Corban Knight, Kyle Rau, and Logan Shaw, defensemen Josh Brown and Jonathan Racine and goalie Sam Brittain to the Portland Pirates of the AHL. The Panthers also placed the following players on waivers in order to assign them to Portland: Sena Acolatse, Rob Flick, Cameron Gaunce, John McFarland, Greg McKegg, Mike McKenna, Brett Olson and Brent Regner. Forward Jayce Hawryluk was returned to his junior team, the Brandon Wheat Kings, of the WHL. None of these players were expected to make the Florida roster or have any fantasy value this season.

Corban Knight has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract.

Knight had 16 goals and 36 points in 58 AHL contests in 2014-15. Florida acquired him from Calgary in January in exchange for Drew Shore.

The Calgary Flames have sent Corban Knight back to the Florida Panthers for Drew Shore.

Originally drafted in 2009 along with Drew Shore, Knight was sent westward in 2013 for a fourth rounder in the 2013 Entry Draft. Meanwhile after four successful seasons at the University of North Dakota, Knight has just 66 points in 92 games in the AHL, and one point in nine NHL games.

The Calgary Flames have recalled center Corban Knight from the minors.

Knight had five goals and eight points in 16 games with Adirondack of the AHL. He played seven games for the Flames last season, scoring once. He was a fifth round pick in 2009 by Florida.

Corban Knight was surprised to get picked for the shootout Friday night.

His goal ended up winning the game for the Flames against the Stars. He played only three shifts in the third and none in overtime, and figured he was done for the game. "I was just sitting there, kind of enjoying the view. Then, all of a sudden, I get tapped," Knight said. "It’s amazing how fast my body reacted to that, because about a millisecond after he touched me, I instantly started shaking."
