Nic Petan skated with Adam Lowry and Drew Stafford in the third period of Sunday's loss to Montreal.

That bumped Alexander Burmistrov to the fourth line where he served as the combination's center. Burmistrov will probably rejoin his regular linemates on Wednesday against Toronto, but Petan could be an option in other games to be promoted when the Jets are looking for more of an offensive presence.

Nic Petan scored a goal in his NHL debut Thursday night against Boston.

He skated on the fourth line alongside Andrew Copp and Chris Thorburn, who also scored in a 6-2 drubbing of the Bruins. Copp picked up an assist on Petan's third=period marker.
