Adam Tambellini has been impressing the Rangers coaching staff.
The third round pick in the 2013 Draft, Tambellini scored 17 goals in his first season in the AHL which was nice considering he struggled early on in his first professional season. "When you’re jumping up leagues, it comes with everything," Tambellini said. "Stronger, quicker guys, and for me just rounding out my game and being able to play in all different situations." Look for Tambellini to start the year once again in Hartford but he could be recalled for a look-see at some point in the season. Jul 2 - 9:53 AM

Adam Tambellini was the first pick of the New York Rangers in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Adam has some NHL bloodlines with his father, Steve, being selected 15th overall in 1978 by the Islanders and his brother Jeff going 27th overall in 2003 to the Los Angeles Kings. "I think a lot of of Steve Tambellini," Rangers director of player personnel Gordie Clark said. "I remember the other son (Jeff), he was shorter and faster. This one is taller and more of a playmaker. But both of them had Steve's shot, an NHL shot. Adam needs to put weight on. He will have time like (Carl) Hagelin (at Michigan). He will play for North Dakota next season and Clark is projecting him to play in college for another four years.
