Jarry got the hook after the first period on Saturday night against Toronto after he allowed three goals on 16 shots. He will look to bounce back against the Avalanche. Jarry has a 5-1-2 record with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in nine appearances this season.
Dec 11 - 11:12 AM

Tristan Jarry was pulled after allowing three goals on 16 shots as the Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 on Saturday night.

Jarry was replaced at the start of the second period by Casey DeSmith after allowing goals to Connor Brown, James Van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak. DeSmith actually ended up with the loss, so Jarry's record remains at 5-1-2. His goals-against average swelled to 2.67 while his save percentage fell to .914. It remains to be seen which goaltender will start the Penguins' next contest.
Dec 9 - 10:26 PM

Tristan Jarry will get the start Saturday night against Toronto.

He was first off the ice during Saturday morning's skate, which indicates he will be getting the call. Jarry is coming off a 4-3 overtime win against the Islanders Thursday night that boosted his record to a very fine 5-1-2. Jarry also boasts a terrific 2.39 goals-against-average and .921 save percentage. Pittsburgh starting goalie Matt Murrray is progressing quickly from a lower-body injury and his return to action in the next week or so will impact Jarry's playing time considerably. That said, Jarry has done nothing but enhance his long-term fantasy value with his efforts this season.
Dec 9 - 11:44 AM

Tristan Jarry allowed three goals on 26 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the New York Islanders.

The Penguins had a 3-1 lead late in the third period, but the Isles managed to score two goals in the final five minutes to force OT. In the extra frame, it was Pens defenseman Matt Hunwick that gave his team the victory. Jarry now has five wins in his last six outings. The win bumps his record to 5-1-2 on the season. He'll enter his next game with a 2.39 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage. Jarry will continue to have plenty of fantasy value as long as Matt Murray remains on the shelf.

Dec 5 - 10:49 PM

Tristan Jarry will be in goal on Tuesday night when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the New York Rangers.

Jarry is 4-0-2 so far this season, winning his last four starts in the place of injured number one netminder Matt Murray. He allowed just one goal in his two starts versus the Sabres over the weekend. His goals-against average sits at 1.99 while his save percentage is at .937 this year, but his only career regulation loss comes at the hand of Tuesday's opponent, the Rangers. Until Murray gets healthy, Jarry remains a key fantasy asset.

Dec 2 - 10:29 PM

Don't be shocked if the Penguins start Tristan Jarry again Saturday against Buffalo.

Even though the teams played Friday night, Jarry was so strong shutting out the Sabres, coach Mike Sullivan may stick with him. We suggest you put Jarry in your lineup and leave him there unless you hear Casey DeSmith will get the start.
Dec 2 - 11:45 AM

Dec 1 - 10:30 PM

It looks like Tristan Jarry will play between the pipes on Friday.

That's based on the fact that Jarry was the first goalie off the ice following the morning skate, which is usually a good indication of who the starter will be. Not that it's surprising to see Jarry start anyways given that Matt Murray is sidelined.
Dec 1 - 11:56 AM

Tristan Jarry stopped eight of 10 shots in a 5-4 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
